Sadly, we had to enquire where our tea was twice which came with the afternoon tea. There was also a chocolate cup missing from the afternoon tea

we had explicitly noted on our booking and told our server we were celebrating our friends silver wedding anniversary, this was a no point recognized during our meal. We opted for the premium banquet, which is for sharing, why do you serve 5 prawns between 2 people, it just doesn't make sense, even the waitress agreed. For £100 per head it was a nice meal and good experience, but we feel for that kind of money it should really be spectacular and amazing!

The service had been exceptional, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable in reference to the menu/cocktail availability. The lead service (manager) had been rather unprofessional due to displaying a form of a heated debate with the front desk. I would suggest that this is not advisable upon welcoming guests and dropped the morale considerably upon the experience at I/Asia. The main meal pak choi side had been flavourless to taste. And the beef (red meat) dish that accompanied the flavour full cod, had been dry and tough to a lesser enjoyable experience. Thank you for your time.

A lovely meal in very impressive surroundings. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is very good. Only one BUT - Because of high demand, they clearly have to impose a time limit on tables. Totally get that. We ordered one of the set menus so they were completely in control of the time it took to serve us. At the end of the meal we ordered coffee which is obviously not out of the ordinary. It took them 15 minutes to bring the coffee and then while we were drinking it, they asked us to vacate the table as it was needed for someone else. We were offered a spot at the bar which we took, but obviously this disrupted our meal. To be fair to the restaurant when I pointed out that any time delays were entirely down to them they removed the cost of the coffee and our service charge from the bill, so overall I am still very happy with the experience we had. I do think it points to a learning curve for them as the people in the table next to us were also rushed with their meal and ended up having to have it put in to take out boxes, only for the table to be left vacant for at least 25 minutes. Sadly, I think this is an example of the customer experience being put 2nd to commercial considerations. Overall I would definitely go back but not for a special occasion or where you want to linger over your food.

The meaning of "Good Service" is something that the Ivy Asia has not yet fully understood. Our experience started well with a friendly and efficient greeting at the check-in desk, we were a few minutes early for a 1715 booking which was no problem for the team as the restaurant was almost empty at that time. Things started to go wrong with the drinks which, once ordered, sat on the bar behind me (viewed in the mirror) for a good 10 minutes before being served to our table. We then ordered one starter and main from the A La Carte and a starter and main from the "Taste of Asia" two course menu with a side. We then waited for an hour before receiving the food, whist a table next to us came in later and were served while we waited for ours, which added to the frustration. I then twice had to ask, politely, when we would be served. I favour the regime, as at other Ivy restaurants, with you have a single attendant for your dining experience. The Ivy Asia unfortunately favours a myriad of cheerful young servers all contributing with endless "How is everything for you?" enquiries; we must have had at least 6 different staff dealing with the drinks, food and general hospitality. This approach does not add to customer enjoyment as there is no personal connection between staff and client. The food was thankfully very good, with no complaints at all, At the end of the meal, we were again asked for feedback and politely informed the server (again a different one) of the delay in service in response to which she informed us that a round of drinks had been deducted by way of apology. This did make some amends, however I will not be hurrying back to the Ivy Asia Restaurant.

As usual exceptional service and food. Only slight niggle with the background music which tended to be a bit intrusive, the sort of music which you would expect to be pogoing to at a club!
