The Italiano, the newest masterpiece by Chef Joey Maggiore and his team of culinary geniuses, located at 90th Street and Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, the elevated Italian restaurant will be The Maggiore Group’s sixth concept introduced to the Valley’s award-winning dining scene.

The Italiano exudes an ambiance of casual elegance, blending warmth with sophistication, while offering authentic Italian dishes that transport you to the very heart of culinary tradition in Italy. The menu will feature the flavors of old-school red sauce Italian cuisine with a Chef Joey touch. Interactive tableside experiences will include an antipasto cart where guests can curate their own plate with over 30 different items. There will also be a must-try Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano's lounge and bar will be open at 3pm, and reservations will begin at 5pm for main dining.

Food great. East coast Italian. Service good. Table was isolated. Would return for sure. Nice for Scottsdale.

Very nice experience for my daughter's birthday. We will be going back for Christmas dinner. We enjoyed the burrata and the charred octopus appetizers. The octopus was very well prepared and enjoyable. The burrata as tasty as well with red peppers and cherry tomatoes in olive oil with a small dollop of caviar. My daughter enjoyed her mocktail and I had iced tea to drink both of which were very good. The menu was vast so narrowing down a choice was difficult, but we decided on the squash ravioli and the Veal trio. All 3 of the veal were exceptional but the stars were the baked ziti and greens sides that came with it. The squash ravioli was tasty but be ready for a sweet entree not much savory in the dish. We finished with their complimentary birthday chocolate cake and amaretto cookies, Tasty food, excellent service, all staff was friendly - great experience.

Excellent food! Fun classic Italian vibe! very busy restaurant! Great experience but wished they hadn’t been half an hour behind seating us for our reservation time.

Food service that night was slow getting food out of kitchen. Food menu had different versions of the standard Italian menu.

Took my mom here for a special dinner, was pleasantly surprised with the complimentary Valet as the shopping area the place is in, has a very inadequate parking set up. The restaurant is beautiful, it truly reminded me of Tomas' OG restaurant downtown with a more modern flair, complete with a full projection wall with a starlit sky amongst major italian art. The wall was beautiful and fun, but at times it got too dark. The dining room was full and the volume because of it made it difficult at times to have a civilized conversation without leaning over the table or border line yelling. The food was great, I had the Italiano Mare and let me say that it wasn't "Fra Diavolo" level of spice but it was definitely more than enough to feel it. When they say "Jumbo Shrimp" they definitely mean Jumbo (no quotes). The dish was piled with a decent amount of seafood and a deceptively large amount of linguine underneath. My mom had the short rib pappardelle which she enjoyed but said it was extremely rich and she could only eat part of it, partially because of the richness of the ragu and partially because of the portion size. The complimentary Limoncello and almond cookies at the end of the meal were a welcome end to a wonderful evening.

Often times restaurants you enjoy based upon either the ambiance, the service, the experience or the food. The Italiano excels in all aspects. This is my second time coming here, the first time was exceptional and somehow, they stepped it up...and I am a tough critic. The experience and excellent service they provide matches the quality and creativity of the food.
