Our country pub and bar area is at the heart of The Inn which offers classic and contemporary interiors, relaxed seating and open fires. Enjoy country pub classic food dishes including daily specials and fine wines, cocktails, real ales and craft beer. Head Chef Shane White and his team have created a menu inspired by the seasons and resources and celebrates the amazing produce North Yorkshire has to offer.

We celebrate the regions finest produce and products, putting the customer at the heart of everything we do, achieved with a smile and a traditional Yorkshire welcome for all.

Served in the Garden Room over looking the winter gardens, traditional music, fluffy blankets share a fully set table with a fondue pot and all the accompaniments with friends to dip away with crusty bread, baby cornichons, potatoes, roasted sprouts, and charcuterie meats with a 125ml glass of Grüner Veltliner. Absolutely excellent! I visited with my mum and grandmother this Sunday and they both hadn’t been before and they were very pleased with the quality of the dishes. I enjoyed the beef roast whilst my mum had the sea bass and my grandmother the nut roast, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed. To top it off the staff were really friendly, tentative and charming. Thank you again for a delightful afternoon. Highly recommend!

The service was extremely slow and once ordered we waited along time for the food. Food was excellent but only an ordered 2 courses and were there over 2hours. We didn’t have a table at peak time and the restaurant was relatively quiet

The ambience was very calming. The staff were friendly and we never felt rushed. The attention to detail was excellent and we really appreciated the additional birthday touches.

Very quiet, almost like a dining room, strange layout of tables … Garden area is beautiful and pub area seemed nice too. We ate in the ‘standard’ seating room which felt like an overflow area.

Had the two course meal. Steak and frittes The steak was so tough and although ordered the rhubarb crumble, not available so ordered summer fruit crumble but brought apple and blackberry. Even though mentioned this can't say they appeared that bothered Very disappointed with this visit .

Further to your recent review I was certainly disappointing to read following your visit yesterday. I have have spoken to the team on duty and believe it was our Bars Manager Chris that did a check back on your table and unfortunately nothing was said at the time for us to be able to do rectify. The Steak frites is a very thin, flattened rump steak, apologies this was tough, I will certainly feed this back to our Butcher, their meat is of the highest quality so my sincere apologies. I was sorry to also learn the crumble was not described clearly to you when this was supplemented on the menu, Chris did indeed apologise for the error when clearing your desserts, he was indeed bothered that this was incorrect and in turn offered a sincere apology. We would love to welcome you back.

Food was fantastic but unfortunately the service was very slow. The staff on duty did acknowledge this and offered us free drinks as we did wait well over an hour for our order to be taken and the starters to arrive. The starters we ordered had also run out which resulted in us having to choose more expensive alternatives too. In view of the delays it would have been nice if we’d been given more than the 3 portions of bread (there was 6 of us but only 3 ordered starters) to keep us going whilst we waited for our meals. We would return as the food quality was good if a little on the pricey side and the staff on duty did the best they could in difficult circumstances

Our first visit to ‘the inn’. Beautiful little country pub, modern and posh! with choice of rooms for a bed and breakfast stay. We came for an evening meal, usual pub grub you would expect but food absolutely stunning! Generous portion size, menu alittle pricey but well worth the money. David, our waiter was delightful! Definitely returning and may even book a room next time! Thank you!! ☺️☺️
