Le chef Jean-Georges présente son tout dernier projet, un restaurant élégant et décontracté installé dans la ville pittoresque de Pound Ridge, New York. Jean-Georges cultive sa passion pour la cuisine de saison conçue selon le principe « de la ferme à la table », avec des ingrédients de la vallée de l'Hudson et de la Nouvelle-Angleterre. Construit en 1833, le bâtiment qui était d'abord une résidence a été converti plus tard en auberge. Il a été soigneusement rénové afin de préserver autant de matériaux d'origine que possible, y compris ses quatre cheminées encore fonctionnelles. Thomas Juul-Hansen a conçu l'intérieur du restaurant avec une sensibilité moderne et rustique, en y incorporant du zinc et du marbre, des éléments de pierre et du bois récupéré. L'éclairage du restaurant, astucieusement conçu par Hervé Descottes, emploie des ombrages sur papier et des lustres Edison pour y créer une chaleur conviviale.

SUN BRUNCH interesting cocktail offerings; very small 'green' drinks unfortunately; service was excellent as was the food. had mesclun salad with truffle vinaigrette -- so simple and sooo good, the lentil soup was flavorful and hearty without being too heavy, and truffle pizza was rich and creamy, tasted way better than it looked

The burger meals were outstanding however my beet salad with grilled salmon was awful. The salmon was very undercooked (raw) and the lettuce was not fit for a pauper. It was Aug it came from a bagged store bought old package plus I don’t like Kalamata olives which I didn’t see as an ingredient. It was way overdressed with the red wine vinegarette which tasted very vinegary. Dessert was outstanding. The kir royal was served warm.

This has always been a very special place. The food, ambiance, service, and even the Ginger Margueritas are all wonderful. So much to make an evening special!

Five ladies who lunch had a wonderful experience on ALL levels. The food was exceptionally good - everyone enjoyed their chosen dishes. Our server was very knowledgeable about the food, wine and cocktails. Valet parking is always appreciated too. A wonderful lunch and we were not rushed out after we’d finished wasting. Totally delightful on all counts.

I missed the coziness of the old inn. Our food was very good, however, not as hot as I prefer. Service staff was very attentive.

Came here for a work party with the Mrs and the food was excellent, she liked it so much she wanted to return for her birthday. The date was too close to get a reservation for the evening of her birthday, but we were able to get a reservation for brunch on her b-day and she was insistent on still going despite it being earlier in the day. It did not disappoint! Food was outstanding--Spicy Sausage and Kale Pizza as an appetizer, followed by Crunchy Brioche French Toast with Caramelized Apples and Parmesan Crusted Organic Chicken, Artichokes, Lemon and Basil Sauce for main courses, and we split a salted caramel ice cream sundae w/ fudge and caramel popcorn :) Service was very attentive and frequently available, they even comped me for a refill after I spilled my glass of wine. And they confirmed that they had received my special birthday request for my wife via OpenTable and obliged as requested :) Even the parking valet was prompt and courteous! My wife was so happy with her experience and is eager to return with family & friends.
