This is the most upscale place I've dined at in the Kingdom. We cycled past this magnificent estate for decades, rueing the increasingly ruined state of the former Darling mansion, and were so glad when energetic new owners came along a few years ago and renovated both the mansion and grounds into a spectacular new inn. And the food and service here are in line with the care and quality of the surroundings. My husband and I split a salad to start, and then enjoyed seafood entrées: I had salmon, my husband a halibut special, each of us selecting a glass of good, dry French rosé to accompany our meals. The food was delicious and the service excellent. I must say, however, we were glad our request to move our table a bit further away from the live music happening in the lobby was accommodated.

Beautiful location and very attentive and elegant service. The food tries hard but is hit or miss. They missed some finesse. My salmon was extremely salty though they remedied it with another dish. I was surprised they offer no espresso or espresso drinks to end a meal. Just drip pod coffee. It is a beautiful place and a nice meal given the rural location but could step it up a few notches before they consider themselves a top notch place.

Outstanding! Every aspect of our experience was phenomenal. We arrived early and enjoyed delicious drinks in the sumptuous game room. Dinner was delicious and our server, Kelley, was welcoming and very helpful. Will be returning!

The ginger carrot soup was fabulous. The Duck Breast was fabulous. The scallops were fabulous, although the accompanying sauce was just "okay." The cotta desert was fabulous.

A beautiful and meticulously restored 1900’s mansion now open to the public for food and lodging. It’s a trip back in time as you admire the Vermont scenery in all directions. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and professional and make you feel right at home. I’d give it 6 stars if I could! Well worth the trip.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Burklyn and everything was great. The service is excellent and everyone loved their meals.

Lovely meal at the Inn at Burklyn. We sat in the room across the driveway from the Inn. It’s very pretty with lots of windows to look out at the magnificent views. There was a large loud table that made it very hard to hear, but we didn’t mind too much as people need to have fun! The service was warm and friendly. The liver mousse with brioche toast was a decadent treat. My scallops were just perfect and my husband enjoyed his beef tenderloin very much. My only critique would be that for such a fancy meal we sat at a high top table with stools which were not very comfortable. They would be better suited for a quick lunch.

Everything was fabulous! The host/bartender was exceptionally welcoming in talking about the history of the property, etc.
