Our first anniversary, and the service exceeded all expectations. Our server Hunter was pleasant and helpful, and Drew the manager checked in a couple times. Will absolutely be back!

What a wonderful experience. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. They greeted us with a special message on our menu for our anniversary. The general manager Drew came straight to our table to wish us a Happy Anniversary. The restaurant was very laid back and beautiful. The food was delicious. We cannot say enough about our experience.

Look and feel of the place is great. But positive vibes stop there. Waitstaff a bit indifferent. My initial red snapper way overcooked. Second try better. The real irritation came from waitstaff very noisily setting tables at the end of the night for the next day - Ambivalent to dinners sitting nearby. “Throwing” china on a marble table in a room with few sound muffling surfaces produces a very high noise level.

Everything was wonderful!!! The decor, delicious cocktails ( one was an original creation by the bartender), the food and our server Sam were all perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant and The George Hotel. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday so special! P. S. ( Make sure to have the chocolate cake and hummingbird cake:)

Food was very good. Bar was small and drinks were inconsistent. Great flavors for apps…devlled eggs topped with a fried oyster and peel and eat shrimp were tasty and a great value. Entree sizes were small in size so “big eaters” maybe disappointed. Flavor profiles in all the entrees was very good and for us allowed room for dessert. Both the apple hand pie and the humming bird cake were very good. Overall, for the quality of the meal, the competent service, and the ambience we felt our final tally represented a great value for a great dining experience.

The waiter we had was exceptional. He was thorough in the description of all the menu items when asked. So courteous and prompt. He gave us space to talk without interruption. The liver pate was great. Different texture than I had had before. Fried Crab claws were phenomenal. The crab dip was great. The desserts were out of this world. Chocolate cake & ice cream, pumpkin torte, and the sorbet with prosecco. The chardonnay was fantastic as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food and service were fantastic, but it was pretty crowded (servers and patrons had to weave through tables) and it was very loud. The tables were close together and the parties were loud. It was a fun experience, but not a romantic ambiance if that’s what you’re seeking.

What nice place to have brunch! The manager meet us and took us to our table. Server was attentive and on top of everything. We ordered the pimento cheese and angel biscuits appetizers which were a great start to an exceptional brunch. The silverware was removed and replaced with fresh silverware before the entrees arrived. Food was served hot and well plated. Two of our party have the crab cake Benedict and said they were very tasty. The shrimp and grits were superb with a bit of Tasso to add flavor. Prices were in the low $20’s for entrees. Very enjoyable!

We had a reservation for 6 people and were promptly seated when we arrived . Very nice decor and large table . Waitress came over and introduced herself and took our drink order . It took a very long time to get our drinks - restaurant was not overly crowded so was a little surprised they took so long . We ordered a few appetizers- the crab claws were very tasty , corn bread was just ok and the chicken liver patte was probably the best part of the experience . 3 of us ordered their flat iron steak because the seasoning sounded great , unfortunately the steaks were just very pepper flavored ( could have passed for a true peppercorn steak if listed on the menu ) my one son ordered medium rare and it came out seared - maybe 1.4” was cooked , the rest of it was raw . We waited for a few minutes to try and tell the waitress - she was nowhere to be found so my son brought it up to the counter where the manager was standing . He showed it up him and a helper , and the helper was nice snd said he would get it done correctly. The manager did not even comment . The waitress brought the re-cooked steak and left . I’ve never been to a restaurant where a dish was undercooked or not prepared to order where the wait person did not wait until you checked your meal to make sure it was done correctly. Well , it was still not done but he was able to eat most of it . No one even acknowledged there was a mistake or apologized .in my opinion this is a very poorly run restaurant for an upscale meal . The pork chop was also peppercorn and nothing more . One of the dishes on the menu was flounder with crabmeat - which one of us ordered , o my to be told they only had drum. This turned out to be a good dish . Waitress never came over to ask if we wanted more dinks or if everything was ok with our meals . Overall this was a huge disappointment . Would not recommend eating at this restaurant !
