* The Iguana Restaurant is an open-air restaurant, that overlooks the city of Puerto Vallarta and serves contemporary Mexican cuisine in an elegant ambiance. Retractable walls take advantage of gentle coastal breezes and crystal chandeliers add soft light while water dances in the adjacent courtyard fountain. The dining room wraps around an outdoor patio with shady palms and another central fountain. In between is nestled the boutique Tequila Bar, serving a wide array of top-flight tequilas and mezcals.

All of our courses of food and the drinks served were delicious. White staff is impeccable. Great view of the sunset.

The ambiance, service, food, and venue at The Iguana is always exceptional. All the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and welcoming. The view from patio dining is a favorite especially at sunset! It’s a must for special occasions or for a wonderful evening with special people. Highly recommend!

I actually was expecting to be "blown away" by this restaurant based on all the hype, but, was somewhat underwhelmed. The atmosphere is quite lovely & inviting with a beautiful lobby and staircase opening up to the main dining room which walks into a wonderful interior courtyard centered by a large water fountain. On an opposite site of the dining room lies a cozy, charmingly lit outdoor dining patio. By far, the best part of the dinner was my exquisitely plated ceviche of shrimp, scallops & octopus "cooked" in a pineapple vinaigrette. The octopus was nice and tender & the whole dish a pure delight. Maybe even topping this ceviche appetizer, surprisingly, was the trio of dessert sorbets .... lemon, strawberry & passionfruit, each tangy, bright & sweet ! The shrimp Diablo while very good, wasn't anything spectacular and the Mahi Mahi prepared with a pineapple sauce was just okay. Quite notable was the piping hot basket of perfectly browned & crunchy on the outside & wonderfully fresh sliced sourdough......deeeeeelicious ! What truly made the evening & the restaurant memorable was the staff.....from the lovely ladies that greeted us at the front door & were quite in charge of welcoming us & managing the reservations to the unbelievably attentive waiters...never hovering, but always there to promptly serve. I particularly liked how every waiter on the floor assumed responsibility for odelivering an outstanding dining experience. We wanted for nothing. All in all, a very good evening. Thank you.
