Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

Such a very special experience. Beautiful and detailed without being stuffy. Isaac was very kind. I got a vegetarian set and the truffle egg and artichoke were stand outs. Tea was wonderful.

As a member, I love bringing friends who have never had tea at the Huntington. I’ve never had a bad experience. The service is excellent. The food is a delicious experience. And, the peaceful ambience clears my mind and brings me peace. I can’t wait to go back!

Excellent food and tea for celebrating my daughters 49th birthday. Also, the young woman who waited on us was absolutely perfect. Very responsive, very positive, and very helpful. Three cheers for Yasmine! 👌🏻

The Huntington Tea was wonderful, and the service was exceptionally helpful. However, the three of us who had the upgraded tea had many delicious items. My granddaughter, had the gluten free Huntington Tea, at then same price as the other three $75 tea recipients. Her tea presentation was not as complete or impressive. Her tea sandwiches were on a simple plate with a very unappetizing dried fruits and dipping sauce. I do not know why she wasn’t at least given the chocolate candy with the H depicting the Huntington as it was a delicious piece of candy and I think gluten free. I do not think the choices she was given were worth $75. However, our garden setting was lovely, the tea beverage choices were outstanding, and the service was excellent and helpful.

Fantastic tea with my visiting mother-in-law for her birthday. We were seated outside by the fountain. Location, vibe and aesthetics, nature and service could not have been better. Thank you!

It was a great experience. The Tea Room is beautiful, and the music is soft and inviting. The food is lovely, and the service is exceptional! Everything within the control of the Tea Room staff is wonderful. For a special occasion, or just a great day out with friends and/or family. It was my second visit to The Huntington's Rose Garden Tea Room, and I was blessed to be able to go with my daughter, it was her first time and we both are looking forward to going again and again. For your best experience make a reservation so you won't have to wait or check back! Go and enjoy!

Love Tea time We enjoyed the quiet room and it was perfect because my toddler was sleeping and it gave us time to enjoy tea before he woke up. Tea and sweets were great and the service was excellent

My husband and I went for afternoon tea at the lovely Rose Garden Tea Room. We had three excellent servers who explained everything we needed to know about the menu. We had delicious tea and a variety of tasty sweet and savory items to eat. For a special occasion or just a delightful experience, you can’t go wrong here!

In spite of letting the tea room know well in advance that we have soy allergies, we were told upon arrival that nearly everything that they serve has soy in it. We were served strawberries instead of scones, at which point we notified our server that we are also allergic to fruit, but we accepted the substitution. Our server said that the chef would initiate a substitution for the normal menu to avoid soy, at which point they delivered to our table a tea service largely made up of fresh and freeze dried fruit (which made me ill trying to it it), a spring salad, plus one sandwich each of cucumber and salmon and a third that was onion jam on a lettuce leaf. (The usual bread served is almost all soy-based, hence the lettuce leaf). The chef made these substitutions without asking us first—even after the server reminded him/her of the no soy/no more fruit request. By rights, we should have just left as the above does not constitute a $62 ‘afternoon tea.’ Our server was wonderful, but the food was awful and definitely NOT fit for ‘afternoon tea’ fare by any means. Add in the universal restroom surprise and it all guarantees that I will never eat here again.
