Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

Everything was perfect . Was the first time visiting and was not sure what to expect . Having experienced some top notch places for high tea in London as well as NYC . However it was delightful

Great ambiance! It’s a long walk from the entrance so wear comfortable shoes. Think 10 minute walk and it’s mostly sunny. Indoor AC and we got the traditional which is more than enough food . I liked the steak sandwich and the cucumber. The signature and earl grey tea are fairly similar. They are able to accommodate dietary restrictions.

Love the tea service. Unfortunate very large groups with small children take over the tearoom on weekends. Noise level high. Kids running around with birthday hats. Maybe a children tea should be offered !? It is a lovely experience, but not as much fun and difficult to speak to my friends at the table due to the noise and screaming children.

The tea room has been expanded to accommodate more guests. The service and food were wonderful and as my family requires diet accommodations we were quite happy. Our only issue was they serve everything at once as there is a time limit to maximize seating. The table wasn’t big enough because they had to separate our dishes so as not to confuse. The food was thoughtfully prepared and there was so much to try. I enjoy the different flavors and would recommend this to everyone as a special occasion experience. Finally, I loved the tea and bought our favorites in the gift shop.

I think they offer a lovely high tea. It's wonderful that they have both a vegan and gluten free menu. However, the price in my opinion is a bit excessive.
