Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

It was nice, we’ll definitely go back. The scones and orange marmalade were my favorite part of the tea menu and the tea itself was very good. The disappointing part was that after making an outdoor reservation 3 months in advance, they had us sit inside because of a private event.

Everyone was very nice and professional. The atmosphere was clean and modern. The food was very good. The scenery outside was very nice. The price was expensive but everything‘s expensive these days.

The room was a little cold, but the scones with the lemon curd were absolutely delicious! I’d do this on a regular basis if I lived closer to Pasadena. I would highly recommend having tea in this beautiful place near all of the roses! The Meredith roses smelled wonderful.

Beautiful setting wonderful service. Egg salad and turkey sandwiches were only so so. Everything was exceptional. Fyi, get there early walk to tea from gate is about 15 minutes and make sure to pay for an entrance ticket far in advance even if you have reservations for tea they won't let you in if they have hot their max attendance for the day. We went on a Friday so we were lucky we got in as we did not know this policy.

We have a lovely time in having a wonderful tea, the delicious tea sandwiches and the sweets. The sparkling wine was delicious also. I recommend this high tea for anyone. It’s a lovely experience ❣️So much fun ❣️

A gorgeous restaurant amidst fantastic and inspirational gardens and library. Service was not very good, food not worth the price, tea selection was great. While I would consider going again, I would think twice.

I went to the tea when they first remodeled the tea room. I remember it being excellent. Sandwiches, sconces and desserts. Yesterday I felt that had changed chefs and the presentation looked sparse. They sandwiches weren’t as good and I only liked fruit tart for the desserts. The sconces were delicious with the orange marmalade. Unfortunately, I brought a girlfriend for her birthday. I probably won’t do the tea again would try the lunch.

Our experience at this tea room was underwhelming, to say the least. Upon arrival, the hostess was unpleasant and unaccommodating. Despite reserving an indoor table, we were taken outdoors after she gave our table to other guests who had requested to switch. If you’re expecting the ambiance of a traditional British tea room, you’ll be disappointed. The atmosphere felt more like a casual hangout, with staff who seemed inexperienced and unprofessional, not to mention the questionable haircuts. Guests around us were struggling with wasps, and the staff showed little to no willingness to assist them at all. The food was another major letdown. For the price, I would have expected much more than finger sandwiches made with plain white bread, a smear of mayonnaise, and a few vegetables. It was far from the refined experience I had hoped for, and the high prices only made it worse. Overall, this tea room failed to deliver on both service and quality. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a proper tea experience.

I had a great time here! Everything is super fancy and a great ambience. Cute food trays and tea tasted good. They even brought me a cute dessert for my birthday. My only recommendation is that they should play some classical music or something like that to add to the ambience! There was no music playing. But even so, I had an excellent time.
