Rose Garden Tea Room is set within the historic Rose Garden, the Tea Room offers an elegant and memorable experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist.

Any party with more than 6 guests MUST call to make their reservation or email tearoom@huntington.org.
Please do not divide your party into multiple reservations, as each Open Table reservation will be treated as individual and will not guarantee adjacent tables.

Please note that visiting the Rose Garden Tea Room requires purchasing admission to The Huntington. When planning to visit the Tea Room, please purchase a separate ticket to The Huntington for the same day as your Tea Room reservation. Tickets are available at huntington.org

The Ambiance is beautiful & relaxing. I had a perfect view of the garden. Rene was very welcoming & patient as I had many questions. The scones were perfectly flaky & tasty. The Devonshire cream was perfect tasted just like cream from London. The hostess was very lovely too. I could not have asked for a better first time experience. I look forward to returning to try another delicious tea.

Our server Angelina was outstanding. We had the Huntington Tea service and one friend had the vegetarian version. All of the sandwiches were fresh and the tea variety offered something for everyone.

The Huntington's Rose Garden Tea Room is a beautiful setting for afternoon tea, but the experience was a bit underwhelming. The tea itself was delicious, and the desserts were innovative and a delightful surprise. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience pleasant. However, the receptionists at check-in could have been more welcoming. I was disappointed that they didn't acknowledge my mom's birthday, which I had clearly indicated on OpenTable. As we were paying, I noticed another server giving a special treat to someone else for their birthday. It was too late for us to ask for a birthday treat. This is the second time they've missed a birthday for us, which is disappointing considering the price of the Traditional Tea service (lower level option) at approximately $150 for two people. I would expect better service, especially acknowledging a birthday for that price.

Lovely experience, in the front yellow room, which is my favorite! We had a WONDERFUL waiter, who was extremely sweet & brought me both iced tea & hot. The weather was HOT!!!

Our afternoon tea in the Huntington’s Rose Garden Tea Room was elegant and absolutely perfect. Our waiter, Isaac, was thoughtful, courteous, and helpful, making certain my girlfriend’s non-dairy choices were equally delicious and beautifully served. Our teas (Rose and Peach) were wonderful, and all the delicacies (savory and sweet) were flavorful and delicious. Truly a perfect afternoon. Thank you!
