We've been serving the people of Braintree and beyond since 2015 and in that time have humbly become ‘one of Essex’s best restaurants.’ We have received recognition from the AA, having been awarded an AA Rosette for ‘culinary excellence’ for five consecutive years, and then in 2023 we received our second rosette, putting the restaurant amongst the top 10 restaurants in Essex. Our food is of course one of our main focuses, but we don’t just stop there. Attentive, relaxed and friendly service is as important as the food and our objective is to make your visit an enjoyably memorable one. Our exceptional wine supplier, Peter Watts Wines (based up the road in Coggeshall) allows us to offer you delicious wines of an exceptional quality. Then add some cocktails, jazz, personality, creativity, a few hidden quirks and we like to think this all culminates to create a truly wonderful experience. Life is about memories; we want to be part of your best ones.

Beautiful experience. Dinning there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Service was wonderfully friendly and such a lovely atmosphere. Food was absolutely superb and that's all 3 courses, can't wait to go back!! Would only mention that it is quite a wait for food but no wonder as I am sure they are always busy!! We ordered online and you are asked if you want to disclose if you are celebrating a special occasion so was a little disappointed when there was no birthday surprise from the restaurant, so not sure why this is asked. Overall it was still an amazing experience and meal out, highly recommended and cannot wait to go back but please please PLEASE - can we have a choice of Mocktails and pork free stuffing with the Sunday lunch available :-)

Champagne to start with padron peppers, then a delish skate wing. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Overall a lovely occasion.

Superb Food and service as always. We had a free evening and grabbed a treat meal! It was Fab. I had the maceral (divine) and the Pork belly (just delicious). J had the prawns and the Cauliflower. Grace and co did an amazing job and Harry looking after us fantastically well A great evening Thanks

Beautiful meal as always. Food is always so fresh and delicious! Only thing was I took my partner for his birthday and I did request if they could write happy birthday on his dessert but this wasn’t done, so slightly disappointed but other than that everything was lovely.

We had the bread as starter the butter delicious. We had the steak & the chicken supreme. Both meals were delicious, they are cooked fresh. A dessert of panna cotta was also delicious Overall a perfect meal

Absolutely fantastic meal, the staff were great very friendly and attentive, the food was 10/10 and the atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend and will be returning ☺️
