A great spot to indulge in the treasures of the sea! We loved the variety of oysters and tbe lobsters roll was stuffed with meat . Not inexpensive but worth it

A wonderfully secluded experience in an otherwise crowded busy city. Service was impeccable, appetizers and entrees were well presented and spiced. The oyster selection was impressive. We enjoyed meals including oysters, lobster bisque, clam chowder, Cobb salad, lobster tacos, seared scallops and prosciutto wrapped cod which were all beyond compare. We will return when in town.

Amazing and fresh selection. We got the seafood tower and the lobster and oysters were fantastic!

I had a great meal at The Hourly last year and so returned this year while on a business trip. I was very disappointed in my halibut entree that arrive after a long wait and was extremely overcooked. I thought about sending it back but, didn’t want the additional hassle/wait. Also had to wait 5 more minutes once it arrived because we lacked silverware (was cleared with appetizers). Lobster bisque and calamari were very good as were cocktails. But not a great experience overall unfortunately.

Food and service was very good. Only negative is the horrendous parking availability for on street parking. Two many confusing one way streets in the area creating traffic backups. Thirty minute metered parking is insufficient for patrons at area restaurants.

My husband was set on getting seafood while we were visiting Boston, so I made a reservation here based on our location and other reviews. We ate a very early dinner because we had a concert to get to that evening, so even though we had a reservation it was absolutely not needed at 4:30PM on a Friday. The service here was excellent. We regularly had staff checking in with us, pouring drink refills before we had to ask, and generally just making sure everything was to our liking. The only distasteful thing I saw was that another table was being bussed where large pieces of food had been left on the table by the diners. Instead of wiping them onto a plate or into the rag, the employee wiped all of them onto the floor and then left them there to be stepped on. Unfortunately for me, the vegetarian options here were almost nonexistent. While the beet salad I had was lovely, it would have been nice to have an option other than a salad. Otherwise, my husband thoroughly enjoyed the clams, octopus, and tuna tartare that he had. The kitchen was very accommodating about changing the chicken fingers kids' meal to grilled chicken at my daughter's request. My son is a clam chowder fanatic and claimed the chowder here to be in the top three of his favorites. He also ordered the lobster mac n' cheese, but something about the bread crumb topping was very unfavorable to him and unfortunately because of the crumb texture it wasn't really possible to scrape it off. The waitstaff inquired if he wanted a box to take it home and when he said no thank you she asked if there was a problem since it was barely touched. He politely said he hadn't cared for it and when we received the check they had removed the dish from the bill. Solid overall experience with the staff being the highlight of the visit.

The food quality is mostly good but nothing came out hot: tepid chowder, vaguely warm fries, warm but not hot mussels. The oysters were excellent and so was the fish and chips. Clam chowder was disappointing…no evidence of a clam or clam flavor, just a salty, floury, milky lukewarm mush.
