The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders.

Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. We also have a comfortable outdoor terrace and garden area with picturesque babbling brook.

We also have a small in-pub coffee shop and delicatessen! Selling the best of local produce, bread, milk and a selection of luxury food and drink items, the shop is open whenever we are. We also provide great coffees to drink in or take away.

Our menu focusses on great steaks and seafood (vegetarian/ vegan always available).

Note: There are two pubs called the Horse and Groom in the area - we are the Horse and Groom Inn at Upper Oddington.

Join us for our special, fun end-of -year celebration dinner, quiz and party. Dinner will be followed by our annual New Year's Eve Quiz, rounding off the year with a disco before welcoming in 2025 at the 'bongs' of Big Ben. Our bar will be open until 1am to enable you to see in the New Year in style! We will provide a special set menu with vegetarian/ vegan and gluten-free options available. Details of the menu for the evening is available at https://www.horseandgroomcotswolds.co.uk/events. Once you have booked for this event, we will contact you for a menu pre-order. We require pre-orders by close of business on 28 December. This is a pre-paid experience. Cancellations made within 10 days of the event are non-refundable.

Great atmosphere, excellent food and good value. Just let down by one of the 5 orders being forgotten and therefore delivered late after the other 4 guests had eaten. Particularly disappointing as it was a birthday celebration and it was the person celebrating his birthday whose order was forgotten. We were offered the cost of one drink as a token but not great.

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your recent visit and can only apologise for the late delivery of one of the main dishes, owing to an oversight by one of our servers in putting your order through to the kitchen. I think this was fairly swiftly rectified as the kitchen prioritised preparing the late-ordered dish and we provided a complimentary drink while this took place. Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope to see you again soon.

Great little pub outside Stow, perfect for family lunch. Such attentive, friendly staff and cracking food. Will come back

From start to finish we had the best experience and would thoroughly recommend The Horse and Groom Inn . All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and a credit to the Inn, great beer and great food was had. We both had steak both of which were cooked perfectly to our liking and delicious and the sides were perfectly cooked as well. The crème brûlée we had for dessert was 1st class. We stayed for two nights as well and breakfast on both mornings were of high quality, delicious and served by very attentive and friendly staff. The whole experience was perfect and we will be back in the new year.

My parents were down for the weekend and we needed somewhere nice for Sunday lunch. We live in the Cotswolds but had never been here. It did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The fire was on and the pub had a great atmosphere. We all had the Sunday roasts. The beef was cooked to perfection and was extremely soft and tasty. Crispy roast potatoes but not overdone. Great portion size and the Yorkshire puddings were the size of baby’s head! You made my Father’s Day when he asked if there was any crackling left and the waitress came back with a little plateful! :) Would definitely recommend, especially as all food is sourced locally. Thank you for a very pleasant couple of hours.
