A beautiful village pub recently fully restored with a historic beamed bar, cosy snug room & elegant restaurant. A classic English beer garden and seating area to the front are great for Al fresco drinking and dining. 8 Brand new bedrooms opened during the summer 2016. We are proud partners with Lacons brewery and feature their range of top quality craft Ales.

Our food features traditional favorites as well as some interesting and great tasting contemporary dishes. Bar snacks and nibbles together with starters, mains, puddings and a children's menu ensures there is something for all tastes and occasions. From a scotch egg & a pint to a lovely 3 course celebration meal!

Been visiting this pub for years. Last nights meal we would say was best we’ve had there. It was so good .

We arrived for Sunday lunch, very happy staff, felt very welcomed. The food was outstanding and came very quickly, we all had Roast lamb which was beautiful. Not too much fat. Perfect serving, lovely accompaniments. Dessert was also very nice, if just a tad pricey, but we all enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks

Second visit and was not disappointed. Menu changed but still great choices. Service was fast and efficient. My starter smoked Salmon is one of the best starters I have had anywhere . Only downside is I ate too much
