A beautiful village pub recently fully restored with a historic beamed bar, cosy snug room & elegant restaurant. A classic English beer garden and seating area to the front are great for Al fresco drinking and dining. 8 Brand new bedrooms opened during the summer 2016. We are proud partners with Lacons brewery and feature their range of top quality craft Ales.

Our food features traditional favorites as well as some interesting and great tasting contemporary dishes. Bar snacks and nibbles together with starters, mains, puddings and a children's menu ensures there is something for all tastes and occasions. From a scotch egg & a pint to a lovely 3 course celebration meal!

Our food had fresh flavours and each time we have been the food is always tasty, the portions are not the biggest but for me that's perfect. Staff are really friendly and attentive

Delicious Sunday roast, Yorkshire pudding looked amazing but was dry and tasteless asked for more gravy which came quickly and was hot i had the vegetarian option it was perfect my husband had the lamb which was a generous portion. Dessert not a very good choice but coffee was perfect Would we go again absolutely 👍🏻

My wife and I had a meal in the main bar. Friendly efficient service on a busy Saturday evening. The quality of the food was second to none and good value for money. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening.

As always, we enjoyed the evening. When we booked we thought we had reserved a table in the restaurant, but on arrival, we’re told that we had a table in the bar. However, on mentioning this, we were given a table in the restaurant, so no problems. Staff were very attentive as usual, and the food was excellent.

Always a pleasure to eat here. The food quality is always impeccable, the service friendly and prompt, and thankfully very accommodating for a small baby. We have no complaints at all, would always recommend to friends and family.

We have eaten here now 4 times, and each time was excellent. The Sunday roasts are delicious, and the vegetarian option was lovely. It's not often that you can say that. Most of the time veggies are an afterthought, but not here. The staff are great too. Friendly helpful and quick. Well done guys!
