The service was fast and friendly. The steak was almost inedible. Luke warm, very rare when we requested medium rare and completely flavorless. The tiny portion of au gratin potatoes were very good.

Very disappointing as on honeymoon and it was very basic and burger bun was not a bun it was a ciabatta and very hard to eat without hurting your mouth!

Everything was delicious. We had the chicken salad in a taco bowl, artichoke soup and pita with spinach artichoke dip. We keep coming back to Hogs Breath every time we visit Carmel. Highly recommended.

Charming restaurant tucked away off the road in a beautiful courtyard. Outdoor fireplace and greenery makes it nice and cozy. Clam chowder was excellent. Fish and chips just ok, king salmon was perfect. Cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced.

Beet Salad was delicious. Sand Dabs are excellent. Crab cake was nothing special and the brownies for dessert were very good. Stick to the basics and you will definitely enjoy the dining experience.

I heard about the place decades ago. Only tried now. Two out of three dishes we ordered were underwhelming, I expected a bit more. The service was good.

My aunt and I decided to go to this restaurant while visiting Pebble Beach for the auto auction and the Pebble Beach concourse d’Elegance antique and classic auto show. It had been more than 20 years since either of us had been to this restaurant. It is no longer owned by Clint Eastwood, and boy does it show. In a word, our experience was horrible. The waiter was severely rushing us right from the beginning, claiming there was a table of eight arriving, and we would have to wait a long time to get our food if we didn’t order quickly. He kept coming back to the table before we were done looking at the menu and pressuring us. My aunt ordered the clam chowder and the Poké bowl. The waiter brought her the artichoke soup and we had to send it back. The clam chowder was not good, tasting like butter, milk, and salt, with very little clam flavor. I had the Caesar salad and it was on the warm side, lacked flavor, and the lettuce was not fresh tasting. There were a few croutons, but they were hard to find. For the main course, my aunt had the Poké bowl and it and it was virtually inedible. She sent it back, and the waiter did remove it from the bill, but because he was in such a hurry, he didn’t offer to get her anything else and was not apologetic at all. I had the penne pasta with chicken and it was more like a stir fry dish and lacked flavor and texture. While the penne pasta was just so so, it was nowhere near as bad as the Poké bowl and the salad. The atmosphere is tired, and we were surprised at the overall feel of the restaurant. I don’t know when Clint Eastwood sold the restaurant, but it looks tired, like they haven’t done a thing to it since Clint sold it, and it shows. Being that we were in Carmel during the height of summer travel season and in the middle of one of the bigger weekends with the car show and auctions, we knew it wouldn’t be cheap, but we didn’t expect to pay $100 for horrible food and lousy service (and no alcohol).
