Owner Matt McKinney invites you to a fine dining experience in a remodeled 1930's farmhouse.
Several different dining rooms, with their own personalities, enhance the natural feel of the restaurant. All three floors are available for dining, even our Wine Cellar!
Our six course prix fixe menu is $150.00 per person, an 18% gratuity and tax will be added to your dinner tab.

While we loved our meal and overall experience, both my husband and I were looking for a bit more theming. Outside of the menu card, cocktail names, and stained glass window, there wasn't much hobbit-y about the ambiance. I was expecting ornate fireplaces, bookshelves, round doorways, an abundance of flowers, or even a more ornate fabric pattern on the patio furniture. So much potential to make this place really unforgettable!

Overall a very good and memorable experience. Very expensive for what you get, but definitely a bucket list type event.

We hadn’t been to The Hobbit in over 10 years (pre remodel and new ownership)…From waking through the front door and throughout the 3 1/2 hour evening, the service was impeccable. The chef’s menu was delicious and presentation of each course was artful and just…perfect. Special shout out to the Sommelier who not only knows his wines but has such a pleasant and fun way of communicating throughout the dining and (optional) wine tasting experience. (Strongly recommend the wine pairing option!) This was a very special celebration for our family and did not disappoint. 5⭐️’s all around except….sadly for the ambience and noise level where they chose to seat our party of 4. Our table was in the middle of the room while the four other tables in the same room were each up again a wall. Unfortunately we could not hear each other talk as we only heard the conversations from the other tables. For such a big birthday celebration, this was a bit of a downer and we’d recommend confirming prior to your arrival that you will not be seated in the middle of the room.

First time at the Hobbit. We really enjoyed it. Loved the whole experience. What a pleasant way to spend and evening. Food and drinks were great. What a wine cellar!!

The flavors clashed- everything was very salty and too acidic. Squash and carrots both have a fennel-flavor, so when you combine them it's overpowering. The sauce with the steak was almost entirely peppercorn. The sorbet was almost inedible and tasted completely of lavender. One of the appetizers was a soft dough ball filled with a thick fig creme, but using a dough ball rather than choux pastry meant that when I bit into it, all of the fig creme exploded out from the back onto the tablecloth. Nothing really tasted very good unfortunately- every single dish had one massive mono-flavor that just washed everything else away. I wouldn't be surprised if the cook was a smoker. The portions were also laughably small, I left very hungry and very dissatisfied. I think I was especially disappointed because of how good it used to be, the site appears to be under new management who seem more intent on extracting additional value while reducing the quality of the meal. They definitely cheapened the experience and I will not be back.

Have been eating here from the early 80's. It has not lost a step with the change of ownership. The move of the bar to the cellar is a nice touch.

Expertly curated dining experience. The entire staff is knowledgeable and properly trained to explain every ingredient of every dish as well as the pairings.

Food was outstanding, service impeccable and the experience was awesome! Great place to celebrate a special event and this place is a must try!

Dining experience was not to a five-star level. The cask room was impressive with a large selection of wines. We were seated in what looked to be the house dining room. There was room between the tables to afford privacy, but the decorum lacked warmth and elegance. The chef selected six-course meal was "creative" but missed on a few of the dishes. We received excellent attention from the staff.
