The Hive is situated on the harbour edge of the picturesque Georgian town of Aberaeron. Our aim is to offer a flexible, relaxed and accessible dining area where everybody is welcome.
The Hive is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our main menu offers a range of small plates through to burgers, pies and fresh fish dishes featuring ingredients from Welsh producers.

No dogs indoors (except guide dogs)

Excellent food using local ingredients where possible at good prices and very friendly service. Recommended.

We really like the 'feel' of The Hive and have eaten here many times. The menu is pretty unique for Ceredigion (with some dishes using Middle Eastern / Korean ingredients) and this gives the place a USP. It's a shame that the flood defence works currently impact on the surrounding area but don't let this put you off as, once you're inside, you are pretty much unaware of the same.

Enjoyed a lovely late lunch for my aunties 89 Birthday . The service and food was excellent and the surroundings was very pleasant with a relaxing feel , the staff we’re extremely friendly and helpful to make afternoon complete

I'm a coeliac and they catered for me , lovely choice of food. Liked that you can choose the size of portion you wanted. Shame the toilets were upstairs. Also my husband said the mens were disgusting, but I found the ladies ok. The service was ok, they were very busy and not alot of staff but they did their best. The food is beautiful and tasty and the staff are friendly and the conservatory area was giving relaxing vibes. Will definitely go again.

Food was really good. Service was friendly and attentive. The atrium is bright and sunny but a bit of a thoroughfare to the outside. If you want a quiet meal, ask to sit upstairs.

Only 3 of us at table and still got order wrong No apology at all my elderly mother waited ages for food still no apology My so called Korean burger was burnt to a crisp no flavour whatsoever and dry as he'll Had ice cream for dessert still tasteless We didn't complain at time as my mother said please don't make a fuss

Always a fab meal at the Hive. It's always my go to place when in Aberaeron. Our friends enjoyed too. Being gluten intolerant isn't an issue here either. Was excited that they are able to do GF fish and chips. The burgers in a GF bun is always lovely too. Friendly staff and a nice ambience. What more can you ask for?
