The Hive is situated on the harbour edge of the picturesque Georgian town of Aberaeron. Our aim is to offer a flexible, relaxed and accessible dining area where everybody is welcome.
The Hive is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our main menu offers a range of small plates through to burgers, pies and fresh fish dishes featuring ingredients from Welsh producers.

No dogs indoors (except guide dogs)

Oh dear, what a disappointment. On the evening of our visit there were 6 items on the menu which included flatbreads. They had NO flatbreads. The food was poorly presented and tasteless.

Had a wonderful meal , food was outstanding and value for money was great . All the staff were very friendly and good but we just felt there wasn't enough of them as waited 20 mins to order after going up and getting our own drinks , took an hour for our one starter to come out which we had asked to come with all our other meals and then another lengthy wait we wasnt asked once about another drink had to keep going up to the bar ourselves . Because the food was outstanding and all the staff were very pleasant we will definitely return but thought it may help to review about the wait .

Friendly enough reception, my only criticism is that drinks order should have been taken at the point of seating as we had to wait a while before someone came to take the order and then waited ages again for a drink. Meal was very nice and staff did their best considering how busy it was. We had a very pleasant evening to celebrate my husbands birthday- thank you!

We liked it so much that we went twice in a weeks holiday ! Really good with food allergies and delicious food - worth a visit

Lovely staff, fabulous food and good service. Reasonably priced and relaxed but we were sat in a corner and there wasn’t much atmosphere. Realised later there was a nicer seating area upstairs, recommend asking for a table up there when booking. Nice outdoor seating area (although be aware works are currently underway all around the harbour.)
