The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular.
On Wednesday evenings we do different foods and events, please call to confirm the theme to ensure it's what your looking for it could be Tapas, Italian, a quiz night.

Overall it was nice, not quite as good as the week before, food just not up to scratch, Sorry 😔 but we did enjoy the pub, very relaxed atmosphere, we will be back to give it another go, this will not put us off!

We had an excellent family celebration meal at The Hind’s Head. The food was lovely. We’ll definitely go again.

The food is amazing, service is excellent, staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. The best place to eat and drink in Shropshire or Cheshire, cant wait to go again.

We had Sunday roast here, after a day out in the area. We were a party of two adults and two children and between us we covered the pork, chicken, beef and vegetarian roulade. We’re all into food, and quite discerning about Sunday dinners especially, usually preferring to cook at home. I’m happy to say the Hind’s Head met our high standards. Every element was cooked beautifully: crispy roast potatoes, fluffy Yorkshires, wonderfully creamy cauli … you get the idea! Puddings were yummy too: three of us had ice cream or sorbet and my husband had the Bakewell tart. All spot on. The drinks were inexpensive which kept the final bill total down, and I loved trying the Romanian Pinot Noir. The surroundings made for a happy family meal, with light, calming decor; clean and welcoming loos. The staff were lovely too and seemed very happy in their work. Yeah - we’ll come back!

Really is a fabulous pub/restaurant, our friends had the cheese n onion pie and said it was the best ever, proper comfort food..everything else we had was amazing too! Thank you so much Mara and everyone else at the Hinds head, we’ll be back definitely xx
