    Service very good and ambiance good. Had early reservation on Saturday—so noise level was good. Food: mushroom soup watery and tasteless, organic greens had bad bits not removed & unexciting dressing, filet tough with decent sauce, asparagus tough—too big, polenta runny, duck tough (medium rare) with good sauce, chocolate dessert very good—moist as described and an imaginative combination. The only thing upscale about The Hill is the prices.

    Local favorite. Never disappoints. Thursday night music in the bar area is great, but can get loud. Good vibes all around.

    We live in the area, and this is our go-to place, whenever we want an upscale experience in the "not so upscale" dining options of rural Bergen county. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great and the price is fair. My personal favorite is the sautéed shrimps over crispy polenta, it's so good!

    This was my first time visit to The Hill restaurant. We visited party of six. When we make a reservation, it had choices either loft space or regular dining area. We chose the regular dining are on the first floor, but was directed to the loft which has no windows. The hostess didn't explain anything why we need to go to second floor even some table were still available. We couldn't enjoy atmosphere of the restaurant or outside view. Some of the food was served already cold. Attitude of server was good. Food presentation was also good.

    The food was absolutely delicious. I had clams casino for appetizer and duck for dinner and they were excellent. They have homemade soda which is very creative and again delicious. Our server was very attentive and spot on with service all night long. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    The staff at the Hill are amazing! So kind, welcoming and knowledgeable. We felt right at home from the moment we sat down. The food was outstanding and so was the ambiance. We will definitely be back.

    Pleasing decor and on a very hot day place was comfortably cool. Food was exceptional and service on point. We will be back!!
