The food and the presentation were excellent. Drinks were great and the chef took time to talk to guests.

Our server was lovely and did her best to provide us timely service, but problems behind the scene with the bar produced slow service and drinks that were not made correctly. In fact we got our appetizers arrived before our cocktails. The food was delicious, though!

Service, food, ambiance excellent. Loved the drinks. Fresh, hot , food. The only issue I have is their reservation process. This is a big restaurant. It was ten per cent filled at best. Despite that, the reservations requirements are credit card. Lose $25 pp or $100 for 4 people even if i had cancelled 3 days in advance. That makes no sense. How much money would they lose if I had to cancel? The only time this requirement makes sense is for a restaurant that is totally booked up and holding my table stops them from giving someone else a reservation. This is clearly not the case. Again, i know certain restaurants do this but it is typically if u don’t show with more than one day notice and they could have given the table to someone on a waiting list.

Food and pregame cocktail were great. They waitress and manager made a very solid selection on wine for us. Dessert was good. Key lime was a nice summer dessert.

Service very good and ambiance good. Had early reservation on Saturday—so noise level was good. Food: mushroom soup watery and tasteless, organic greens had bad bits not removed & unexciting dressing, filet tough with decent sauce, asparagus tough—too big, polenta runny, duck tough (medium rare) with good sauce, chocolate dessert very good—moist as described and an imaginative combination. The only thing upscale about The Hill is the prices.

Local favorite. Never disappoints. Thursday night music in the bar area is great, but can get loud. Good vibes all around.
