I felt the food could have had a little more "ommph" but overall, the ambiance and setting was awesome for what I came to do. It was so enjoyable and watching the football games was way more exciting. I was able to catch games that would not ordinarily air in this area - and, met other folks from my Texas-Louisiana area. I will be returning.

The waitress never came to check on us. We had to look for her and, 3x which included when we wanted our check. The noise level was painfully loud but I understand this is a sports bar so to be expected . The food was good.

Highwood has improved since my last visit . Shrimp Cocktail was very fresh, and large in size. In-laws had the shrimp tempura roll and loved it. Steaks were cooked very well. My issue was the server ( though attentive) lacked knowledge on gluten and for sure the fries has a crisp coating and no one could truly tell me if gluten free or safe. This happened my last visit as well. The cocktails were well blended though not very cold, extra shaking probably required. Service was good considering the waiter also has to bartend! Sports bar loud vibe which was our choice noted many children this round seemed like Fourth of July vacationers staying at the hotel ( who could blame them with those views).

Went here a few weeks ago on a Friday and everything was great so wife and I went back Sat 7/6 and service - food was off. Took 15 minutes for anyone to come to our table initially. Salmon was overcooked after I asked for it medium … they immediately took care of it and replaced w a burger simple so I can get some fast which also came out way overcooked and w onions after I asked for none… bill was adjusted but they recommended I tip on the food I sent back lol Management was on point and was apologetic so not sure the waitress never put the notes in for the kitchen or the kitchen cant read a ticket but i can see how people complain w the service here.

Celebrated my husbands birthday here with 15 adults and 3 kids (under 5 years old)! We had a fantastic time! The food, drinks, and service was great and came quickly! Was nervous about booking such a large group party and they accommodated everything we needed with no issue. Music and ambience with window views of the NYC skyline was fun as well! Very glad we booked this place!

Food was very good … oysters were fresh and the soft shell crab was excellent. Good location/ parking garage above it and there’s a cigar lounge right next to it
