Located in the heart of Lymington, The Highstreet Kitchen offers a relaxed dining experience focusing primarily on local sustainable food, working with dedicated local farmers and producers. The restaurant has been a dream for Gavin Barnes for over a decade and it has now become a shared vision for the whole team.

This is our second visit and it did not disappoint! We were celebrating the run up to our daughter’s wedding and the HSK offers a lovely ambience with attentive staff, backed up by fabulous food! Quickly becoming our go to for lunch and when entertaining visitors.

Well, I'm not often moved to write a review, but this was such a nice surprise I feel compelled to. It was my favourite meal of the year, so far. The service was great and attentive, my elderflower something-or-other drink was just right, and everything about the food was absolutely spot on. I can fully vouch for the sardine, pork belly and the rib-eye steak. The only sadness was we didn't have space for a dessert. First class. Congratulations to the team.

Amazing service and the food experience is exquisite excellent I guess these guys are waiting for the Michelin awards soon to be bestowed Well done again what a lunch l🙏🕺

We had a lovely evening with friends Great food as always and atmosphere casual friendly and attentive! We are always happy to eat here the quality of food is very good If there is soufflé on the menu you should definitely have it ! They looked after us with complimentary bottle of sparkling wine as we were celebrating I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant And there aren’t many in Lymington I would

Excellent food and service. We were sat towards the back of the restaurant which didn’t quite have the ambience as the front so I’d recommend requesting the front area if you can. A minor point overall.

The menu was small, every thing we chose was well presented and interesting, The staff were knowledgeable. The dining area was nicely proportioned, with high ceilings and tables not crammed in. All told, a very enjoyable experience.

Absolutely fabulous dinner; the food was perfectly prepared and cooked, the balance of flavours was excellent. Good wine list, great ambience and really professional and friendly staff. Thank you all for a memorable evening.
