The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

We had to wait a while to get a booking but it was well worth it. My wife and I both agreed it was the best Sunday roast we had had any. The cocktails we had were great. They thoroughly deserve any awards they are give and we will vote for them in the 2024 awards. Go there if you can, you won't be dissapointed.

Cosy pub with a great welcome. Excellent service and the Sunday roast was amazing! Great quality, very tasty & excellent value. Definitely recommend.

A very special smart pub-restaurant, with lovely ambiance, carefully decorated, fires burning. The service was exemplary and very professional yet personal, coordinated quietly by Rachel, we were ushed to a great table upstairs and our waitress, Maisy, too was excellent. Casual and friendly, but attentive. The food was beautifully cooked, both the venison and lamb steaks cooked to perfection, and the rhubarb & berry crumble was exceptional, (even for non dessert eaters, on the whole). I can highly recommend The Hawthorn, and will most certainly be back.

Excellent. Had high hopes and all were met. Definitely booking again. Sorry I broke the chair! The service was top. Didn’t catch her name but waitress was helpful, smiling and courteous throughout. Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. And the food…oh my. Huge portions and awesomely made. Cooked to perfection. You won’t be disappointed.

Service and drinks was great, but the beef was overcooked and the table we was sat up was not sturdy which moved and creaked.

An outstanding restaurant at every level and the Sunday lunches are just brilliant. Food, drink, service and ambience are always second to none. It is a real gem.

In general we had a lovely meal and staff very friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was my husband’s sirloin steak was overcooked so didn’t enjoy as much as he’d hoped.

Disappointing overall. I have visited the Haworth previously and had a totally different experience. I was seated in what was the through fare for anybody entering the restaurant, not the cosy intimate dining I had previously. The main was of a good standard but nothing to make me want to return. Desert was a rhubarb and apple crumble, not your typical crumble but crumbled biscuit chunks on a sour fruit base. The ginger ice cream that came with the crumble was bland. Overall it was very disappointing. If you are to eat there I would suggest you ask the waiting staff to describe the menu so you know what you are ordering. I felt like I was eating in a cafe, not a leisurely enjoyable meal at all.
