The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

This is our second visit to The Hawthorn. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I would say this is the best Sunday Lunch I have ever eaten and I would 100% recommend. We have already booked our next visit.

This was our first time visit based on a family recommendation and we were not disappointed. A friendly welcome and a wonderful table location in this magnificent Georgian restaurant promised our experience was going to be even better than expected. The Parsnip,Pumpkin & Chili soup was creamy and tasty and prepared us for the feast that was to follow. We ordered the Ox Cheek and Lamb and it is without doubt some of the finest meat ever tasted , so tender and a very filling portion . All the accompaniments were tasty and importantly hot. So many restaurants fail in this simple task . The portions are generous and it leaves no room for dessert sadly . Maybe next time no starter !! A very minor negative was the unusual additional charge for extra gravy if required . Service throughout the meal was exemplary. The young staff are a credit to themselves and the management who have clearly invested their time in them. Very much looking forward to a return visit soon .

We booked for a Saturday evening was seated straight away but wasn't happy with table we felt as we were sat in middle of restaurant in the way of everyone quite uncomfortable food was nice but pricey ! We were going too have cocktails but don't do pornstar martini so got baileys well it was like a thimble full in a glass !! Staff were nice 😊

This was our second trip to The Hawthorn in the past year. The first time was beautiful and we knew we had to book again. The second time was honestly fantastic. Everything was set out to accommodate our little dog, who ended up falling asleep on her kindly provided bed. Millie M, our server, was outstanding and an absolute delight. She was so kind to Pepper and she was very attentive. We didn't go without for a moment. The chateaubriand was outrageously good. The cheesy fries, the cauliflower cheese, the salad and the sauces were all delectable, but the meat was truly next level. Cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Just perfect from start to finish and we left feeling so happy and satisfied. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back in the future.

Had visited for a Sunday roast the year before and now for the Saturday night menu. It’s a gorgeous cosy pub inside and very dog friendly which was appreciated. Menu had lots of good options. I had the short rib which was delicious and good value considering it includes a side and a sauce. Will definitely come back.
