The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

    A very nice meal albeit the starters were served separately, had to wait for the chorizo sausage to be cooked and then they were slightly undercooked, had then had to wait for the fries to follow the veg, the carrots were nice but very hard, the tomatoes were delicious, the greens were delicious, the steaks were excellent and perfectly cooked

    A gorgeous Sunday lunch treat for 2 ! The beef was perfectly cooked and delicious and the vegetables were plentiful and tasty . We shared Affogato for a dessert ( my favourite ) which didn’t disappoint .

    Staff were friendly and attentive, the Sunday roast was exceptional the selection of vegetables was many and all cooked to perfection. House wine was good quality, a very pleasant dining experience would definitely recommend

    Staff are amazing, so friendly. Gorgeous place, cozy but not cramped, plenty of space between tables. Food was 10/10, fantastic steak, best we have tasted in a very long time. Really impressed with service. We had travelled from Manchester and it was well worth the hours drive, we will definitely be back to try the Sunday lunch.

    The service here is exceptional, the staff is polite and attentive, going above and beyond to provide a wonderful eating experience. The food is absolutely delicious, all served up in the wonderfully charming surroundings of a Georgian property.

    Sunday roast was delicious and despite it being busy staff were attentive and worked so hard to make sure everyone was getting great service. Good atmosphere. Sunday roast was epic!
