I’ve been coming to Cooperstown every summer for 20 years so I have some input. The Hawkeye has always been a great spot for good food and beautiful views. It still is. I just found the service to be phony and obnoxious. Our waitress hated her job and it showed. A place this luxurious and expensive shouldn’t have people working here who don’t appreciate it. The host and hostess were fine and the burger was very good, watermelon salad wasn’t fresh and my girlfriend’s shrimp was ok. Regardless, you can’t beat the view outside.

This was one of our favorite restaurant experiences ever! It was kid friendly and the food was amazing. The chocolate cake we had was our favorite. Joshua was our server and he was excellent. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal and evening!

We enjoyed sitting on the patio for lunch. Beautiful view, good food and nice atmosphere.

Went for lunch. Beautiful views. Outstanding service. Interesting menu. Enjoyed. Make sure to go to Fenimore Museum before or after. Makes a great day.

We arrived early for our 12:30 reservation and they seated us with a smile. Our server was great having to do most of the patio area solo. Lunch was busy but service was great. Menu was paired down since last time we were there. Additions ttems for Lunch should be considered.

I don’t think you advertised 1909 well enough. We had lunch in Hawkeye, and didn’t know we had a choice for dinner. Saw 1909 on the way out this morning. Next time at Otesaga we’ll eat dinner there. FYI: The burger for lunch was way over cooked from the medium rare I asked for. I actually basked for medium-rare, but on the rare side. The server said she couldn’t guarantee that, and actually didn’t even know what I was describing.
