A country side feeling mixed with a modern refurbishment. Tasty and homemade, seasonal food and friendly service, makes us pub special. Situated in the heart of Blackheath with a fantastic view outside.
We welcome dogs into the bar area, please select a bar seating if you would like to bring your four legged friends with you when reserving a table and we will provide water and treats for them.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday fish and chips lunch. The staff were all extremely helpful. I can't fault it, and will be back again.

I booked a table on a Sunday evening on a bank holiday weekend, only to be told when we sat down that they had sold out of majority of the meals. It left myself and guests feeling disappointed and hungry. Staff were dismissive, unapologetic and unbothered so we left to find an alternative place to eat. After a similar experience the first time I booked, I will not be back again.

Not a great deal of choice for dairy free (I’m not vegan), though better menu knowledge and training about easy substitutions to dishes would enhance the choice and experience. The meals were delicious and served well by attentive staff. I was disappointed to find a Friday Prosecco deal advertised in the toilet that was not mentioned or highlighted before ordering.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Regarding dishes substitutions, I am afraid we are not allowed to suggest any as per company policy, so this is not due to bad knowledge. We don't tell every single table about the Friday Prosecco deal as it is written on the blackboard in the bar and there are few posters around the pub. We also often advertise it on social media, although, we do mention every time someone orders a glass of Prosecco. Kind regards, Natalia

Great Sunday lunch for four of us. Good size dinner. Large Yorkshires. Plenty of gravy. Starters went down well too, the beetroot hummus and the chicken liver profiteroles were good. Staff were friendly and overall experience excellent. Recommended
