    Service was excellent but unfortunately the food was not. The meals were replaced but there was little improvement.

    Stunning place but service is hit and miss. Didn’t start well with them not having my Open Table booking and then having to constantly crane over our shoulders to get someone’s attention for drinks, to order, to get mains, to reorder drinks, to get the bill and so on. Recommend going for coffee rather than dinner…expectations are lower and you won’t be disappointed. Probably.

    Disappointed that we arrived for Valentines at 2030 and it took until 2200 to receive our meal. Staff were very apologetic and not their fault, but we are now returning to normal and blaming covid for lack of quality and service in a 5 star hotel is becoming weary especially as the prices to eat out these days has gone up. The waitress who served us was amazing and offered us some complimentary drinks which was welcomed. Reviews constantly highlight the wait time for service....come on Marriott up your game please!

    Ordered Caesar Salad without chicken. It took 52 minutes to arrive, with chicken. Another 20 minutes to have the chicken removed. Only a couple of mouthfuls to bump into more chicken. Kitchen clearly not functioning. Wait staff lovely but busy fielding several complaints. The salad with or without the meat was not worth the money. Barely filled the plate. Tasteless too! Went home hungry. What a let down!

    Very disappointed that the tea didn't include refills and £5 per cup seems excessive. The food was generally tasty but expensive for the quantity. My dessert, "Christmas Eton Mess" was just terrible, too sweet, excess cream and not much more. Also uncalled for attention from another customer but no staff around to assist. Won't be recommending or attending again.

    Despite having booked months ago and having waited at our table for over 30 minutes, we were told to be patient as they were short staffed. When the afternoon eventually arrived, it was so disappointing. The sandwiches were lacklustre, the scones cold and the cakes non discript. This was meant to be a special celebration not to be so. The prices on the website are wrong would not go back!

    A beautiful location and somewhere I’ve visited often and always been impressed but not this time unfortunately, which was a shame as I was visiting to celebrate my birthday. Service was very very slow and my friend even had to go and find a waitress to order our meal, and we could see others around us doing the same thing. There just wasn’t enough staff. Also the noise was deafening. Obvs a party/wedding reception going on on the other side of the glass at the end of the hall. The noise was unbearable and those around us were saying the same, it was spoiling us trying to have a conversation. Food wasn’t amazing considering how much we’d paid. Cocktails were amazing as always. Very disappointed about our night, which was so disappointing as it’s one of my favourite locations in London 😕
