Halyard is a lovely dinner venue with views of the Sound and sunsets in any seat in the house. The service was lovely, and they made my daughter feel extra special on her birthday with birthday wishes from all of the servers from the moment she stepped in the door. Valet was great too. My one issue is not with Halyard but with opentable, whose site claimed there were no reservations for 6pm outside on the deck all night long, and no availability for 6 from 5:45pm to 8:45pm. anywhere in the restaurant. Eating in the restaurant from 545p to 8:15pm, it was obvious to see there were about 75% of tables available for any family size throughout the night. This needs to be remedied for the benefit of the diners to book an open table when its clearly available, and the restaurants and staff who are not getting those reservations in the door.

Everything about our visit to The Halyard was 10/10! From the lively yet relaxed environment to the exceptional service to the delicious food, I cannot think of one thing that would have made our experience any better. Big thanks to Emily, our server, who gave us great recommendations (do NOT miss the tuna tartare) and especially Jayden, who, from start to finish, made sure we were well cared for, attended to and happy every step of the way, all with a big smile and the sweetest disposition. Can’t wait to come back to The Halyard again soon!

The view is SPECTACULAR and the renovations made to the property over the past couple of years are tasteful and gorgeous. Halyard's brunch food was a bit disappointing. Trying to be too fancy instead of just making the best tasting dishes, and the homemade cinnamon buns were not available (which we were really excited about).

We got the oysters and shrimp cocktail to start. The oysters were small and had no flavor. The cocktail sauce for both oysters and shrimp definitely had hot sauce in it and was too spicy to even use. My poached cod was bland and cold when it got brought out. My partner’s half chicken was steaming when he cut into it but the skin was soggy, so it definitely was prepped earlier and just thrown into the oven to reheat. We saw our server 3 times; first time to take our drink order, second time to give us our drinks and take one food order, third time to ask if we wanted dessert. He didn’t ask how our food was and we saw the buss boys more than him. For the price you expect this restaurant to deliver but it was a major let down. We will not be going back and will not be recommending this to anyone.

Absolutely horrible. Service was extremely slow and careless. Food was cold. Drinks took 45 minutes to come out. Every table seemed aggregated with their experience. Beautiful restaurant but overpriced for slow service and less than average food.

We had Sunday brunch and enjoyed the mimosa/Bloody Mary specials while looking out over the sound. The view is fantastic; service was excellent and the food was good. We had eggs Benedict (him) and eggs Benedict with salmon (me). The hollandaise is delicious - the only thing I toyed with was commenting that my English muffin was really over toasted - but it seemed like it would be a big to-do to say something. Really on me. And then I didn’t feel guilty using all of the hollandaise. But not enough of a complaint to keep us from going back. The cookies are divine.

Absolutely spectacular dining experience. The service was excellent… view phenomenal… food exceptional!!! The one small down side was all of the young children…. Not a place for the littles.
