John provided us with amazing service and made for a memorable birthday dinner! Fantastic food was very impressive. although very loud and echoey in the room we were dining in. overall a great experience!

There was a problem with everything we ordered. But the restaurant tried to make things right. We have been there many times over the years and recently have been disappointed with the food. It’s a great location directly on Long Island Sound with the best sunset views on the Northfork. The staff is professional and friendly. We’ll give it another try sometime soon.

My husband and I stayed at Sound View for our mini-moon and had the most lovely dinner here! The servers were knowledgeable of my Celiac disease and need to eat gluten free which I greatly appreciated and we really had the best meal! The team was even sweet enough to give us a glass of champagne since we were newlyweds! Highly recommend the grilled octopus, half roasted chicken and the steak was incredible too - even our cocktails were amazing. This is a must-go when in Greenport!

We dined at the Halyard during the off-season and had a good meal. The highlights of our dinner were our entrees - the lobster stuffed pasta and duck confit cavatelli were both delicious and would recommend. The calamari appetizer was good. The whipped ricotta appetizer was delicious but the bread must have been warmed then set out too long so it turned hard and was cold upon eating. Overall good food but a bit pricey.

Food was terrible. Management was not responsive to our concerns. Server was good. Besides the view, don’t go there.

The ambiance of this place was amazing, very romantic. However, I was very disappointed with the food. The 80 steak came out to us completely rare when asked for medium rare. They recooked it and it tasted more like a 50 dollar steak, not worth the price. The rest of the food was fine but not exceptional. The service was very nice and because of the ambiance I don't regret my experience but for the cost, you're better off just ordering a drink and ap.
