The Halsetown inn a rural grade 2 listed roadside inn situated just outside st ives on the main road between penzance and St ives. at the Halsetown we have core values good food good beer good ambience steeped in local history great for lunch or evening meal after a day out exploring.
we pride ourselves on using all locally sourced produce.
our Chefs Darren and Danny have worked alongside each other creating dishes and memories for the past 3 years a great partnership.
they love cooking dishes especially fish dishes as being so close to the sea why not
we are in between Penzance and so close to St ives if you like walking its just 2 miles away.
Halsetown was once a thriving tin mine community lots of local history
the atmosphere is very laid back with great food washed down with a great ale or glass of wine
we also have a little haven at the back of our pub a courtyard a nice sun trap on an afternoon or early evening

Very enjoyable meal and tasty. Good value and very filling we didn’t have room for a pudding.

We were staying at the local campsite and decided to pay a visit. The food was average. For two adults and two children the bill came to just over £70 for only main meals, two of those children’s meals and only one drink each. The staff were very nice and the food came promptly. We aren’t sure how much of the food was made in house. It felt and tasted pre done. The pub wasn’t dirty but it felt a little uncared for with wires hanging around and a lot of cobwebs. There was also a very strong smell of bleach coming from somewhere. It wasn’t terrible, but we wouldn’t visit again.

Good value and great menu. Our main was the daily special (lemon sole with samphire), one of the best dishes I've had for a long time. Expertly cooked. Great and really friendly service despite being an employee down for the evening and fully booked

Wonderful meal again at this lovely pub. The food is fantastic and all the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful,particularly Jamie! We will return many times!

This was situated by a campsite that my brother and I were staying at. Menu was good with a fair variety of options. Food presentation was good and portions were very good. I would recommend going to this pub.

The best meal we have eaten so far this week while on holiday in Carbis Bay. We were a bit dubious when we entered as it’s a very old building but the food was delicious and the service great. Thank you for a lovely Sunday Roast 👍🏻

Food was good and the portions generous, the service was also good. We received a warm welcome and were able to bring the dog in with us. Really would have liked to give 4.5 rather than 4 or 5. Only negatives were the background music and the general need to redecorate.
