Located in the former family home of Lord Snowdon, once the Husband of Princess Margaret, The Gunroom Restaurant is Michelin Guide listed and is so much more than a restaurant. Located in the heart of Plas Dinas Country House just 5 minutes from Caernarfon, dining with us is more of an experience than just a meal. Arrive at least 20 minutes early for a pre-dinner drink and canape which leads into your dining experience.

Our monthly changing menu uses only the freshest seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Distinct choices of starter, main and dessert are interspersed with delicious hidden courses creating a unique experience that balances sumptuous indulgence with individual variety.

Our intimate Gunroom Bar is a great spot for a gin or a cocktail before or after dinner.

The food and service was excellent eventhough we had booked for 3 courses there was canapes before and 3 amuse bouche courses included and my wife and i enjoyed every single minute of it and will definitely return

The service was very good, as was the food. The gun room is cozy and welcoming. I scored down as we had to leave the table a bit too soon and there was nowhere else to go to sit and finish our drinks...we felt a bit rushed and the night finished earlier than we had thought. Overall a very nice experience.

Very enjoyable evening at The Gunroom. Kicked off with slightly disappointing hor d'oevres which lacked depth of flavour but the remaining courses and intermediates were delightful and an excellent coffee to round things off. One or two glitches with the food delivery (wrong dishes; misdescription of components which created interesting challenges for the taste buds!) on what was a quiet evening perhaps something to be looked at. Nothing that spoilt the overall experience.

As ever the evening was a complete delight. Perfect meal, brilliant friendly service, lovely ambience and all round another gorgeous evening out. This place never, never disappoints!

We had a lovely meal at Plas Dinas. The setting is really beautiful, the food was amazing and the service and attention to detail were all first class. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
