The Grounds of the City, the second outpost from the team behind The Grounds of Alexandria, is bringing soul back to the CBD with old-school service and charm. Located in the heart of the CBD and bustling with activity, The Grounds of the City is tailor-made for a marvellous time; no matter the occasion. Start your day right as our baristas expertly serve up The Grounds house-roasted espresso and filter coffees, or end it in the best possible way and cosy in with our selection of cocktails and a dinner menu that features something for everyone. You’ll find our coffee sommelier at The Barista’s Bar ready to take you through a tailored coffee experience, and our tea lady roaming the room with a trolley adorned with fresh coffee, our selection of ethically sourced teas and cakes.

Pre book,pre book. It can get busy. The staff here are great and attentive. The decor is fantastic, it has a step back in time feel. Lots of Gluten free options and the staff were knowledgeable and when in doubt they went to check. We will be back.

It's was great. I came for travel days in Sydney and came 2 times at the last I came with other friends meet while traveling Bluemountain and they also like it

Absolutely loved it! Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The Poached Eggs and Toasted Crumpets (I added salmon) was incredible!! The atmosphere and service was top notch as well. Great stuff, 10/10

The Grounds in the city is a firm favourite for breakfast. The coffee is delicious, the food is yummy, the service is great and the ambience delightful. But the best thing about the Grounds in the City is that you can book!

Good as always. This is one of our favourite places to go when meeting friends who are visiting Sydney. Service, food and ambience is always good experience.
