Enjoyed a chicken sunday dinner. It was delicious and hot. I only gave 4 stars as the gravy boat was small and had to ask for more scrumptuos gravy. Other than that fabulous

Booked a table through OpenTable and arrived to be told that they’re not serving food. When I suggested that they stop OpenTable from taking bookings I was told they couldn’t access the website. It must have been too much trouble for the pub to contact OpenTable directly and ask for assistance. Oh well, Pen y Bont it will be from now on!

Arrived at restaurant via taxi and went in only to be told kitchen was closed and no meals were available. Staff couldn’t understand why reservation had been allowed. Not much help to us of course as we had to leave and get another taxi to take us to another restaurant who were kindly able to fit us in without a booking despite being very busy (thank you Pen-y-Bont). So no idea where fault lay- restaurant or background team of brewery

It took.nearly 3 hours for 2 courses the service was terribly slow. The poor waitress kept apologising. There were only 3 other tables in ! Food was average - roast Dinners with a very small amount of gravy - had to ask for more. No condiments available to accompany- cranberry for turkey , horseradish for beef etc had to ask and non available(which you expect when paying 15.00 for a roast) Desserts came out wrong. Had to ask for them to be corrected - this made for another long wait. Had to go.to bar to order more drinks/desserts as no one came over.We ended up being late for an event we were attending. Won't be back which is a shame as it's local. There seemed to be enough serving staff so don't know what went wrong.

Went for Sunday dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Well I can’t give a proper rating as we got there and was told there was no chef there, and that I should have got a call or email. Therefore we had to go somewhere else to celebrate my birthday Not impressed

We arrived slightly earlier than I'd booked a table for, but we're seated straight away. Our drinks order arrived within a few minutes, and our food orders arrived within 10-15 minutes of being taken. Very friendly staff, and lovely food. Very good portions. Most enjoyable. We will definitely be paying another visit in the future.

We tried again to see if things were better but food was very poor smaller portion than last time service was horrendous it seems they can't cope when busy lots of people complaining 😕 such a shame as we fid love it there

Recently this has been our favourite place to eat but on Monday it was really poor the service was extremely slow and there was no rice for the chicken tikka . When asked they said its not on the order form but still on the menu
