Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.
Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.
The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace.
The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available.
The Greyhound also stocks a diverse wine list, developed by Margriet, who is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a wide range of international beers.

As always, Greyhound Inn was exceptional and remains my favourite restaurant. I booked this for my birthday treat and was made to feel so special with all staff going out of their way to wish me happy birthday, converse with me, present me with a cake, give me a hand signed card and remember small details about my preferences/last visit. I enquired about a menu item and was given details of the herb used - its location, growth pattern & taste. I find that all staff are knowledgeable about the menu and passionate in their delivery. I loved that my espresso cup was heated and that my napkin was elegantly folded as I returned to the table. Thank you Greyhound for once again, making it a magical experience with all your little, but big touches. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough.

First time at this restaurant. Amazing food and would visit again. Lunch next time and saving room for dessert.

As always, Daniel and his team were so welcoming and friendly. The tasting menu, with wine flight, was excellent. Lovely local produce (eg pheasant from just down the road) cooked beautifully and imaginatively. A thoroughly delicious experience.

We chose the set 3 course lunch and it was fabulous. Saying it's 3 courses doesn't do it justice as it's all the little extra bits that make it stand out as a fine dining experience. It started off a little bit rushed but soon settled down. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon but they had the timing's just right. We would certainly recommend it and if we were in the area, we would definitely come again.

Our 1st visit to The Greyhound to celebrate a milestone Birthday. We were all blown away with our new experience from arrival to walking out the door. It was a faultless. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Top class food served on stunning plates. The whole team worked together to deliver a memorable lunch. We all agreed it was one of the best dining experiences we have had. Bravo Daniel and team you nailed it.
