Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.
Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.
The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace.
The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available.
The Greyhound also stocks a diverse wine list, developed by Margriet, who is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a wide range of international beers.

Absolutely amazing food and knowledgeable, friendly, attentive staff. Nothing too much trouble and loved the additional touches here there eg birthday card for dad.

Our second visit to The Greyhound and we were as impressed as our first. We enjoyed the set lunch menu this time, which I'd say is great value. Between the six of us we pretty much ate every option and they were all great. What really makes the Greyhound stand out though is service. It's always massively professional and friendly - a hard combination to achieve! They clearly work hard with the staff to achieve that! Would definitely recommend a visit and we'll be back soon!

Excellent taster menu and excellent vegan taster menu too. Quality of the food was outstanding. Superb attention to detail by a very knowledgeable staff. Can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely return!

Outstanding experience. We were a group of 3, each having different tasting menus (pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan) to celebrate a birthday and the evening was special from the moment we arrived to the time we left - we even received a surprise gift on leaving (no spoilers). The whole team at The Greyhound can be very proud of what they are delivering to their customers.

I booked the Greyhound for my partners birthday on advice of my Mother-in-law who had been several times for lunch. I simply cannot fault this place & don’t remember a meal like it in many years of living in London and spending just as much if not more on nice restaurants. The staff, the food, the service, the ambience is out of this world. Nothing was too much bother. The staff are all amazing and friendly. The food is beyond anything I’ve eaten in a long long time. Please go before and I hope it never changes! We will be back!!
