Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.
Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.
The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace.
The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available.
The Greyhound also stocks a diverse wine list, developed by Margriet, who is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a wide range of international beers.

What a lovely dining experience you have when eat at this restaurant. The innovative food is outstanding being beautifully cooked and presented. When I compare this restaurant with others that have Michelin stars I have to wonder how on earth this place does not have one. On top of that the service is gold standard. It is attentive, informative and warm. The owners, Margriet and Daniel, are hands on and lead an incredibly motivated and happy team for which nothing is too much trouble. The attention to detail is amazing. When you add the warm, classy ambience, what more could you wish for. I noticed one recent review said that they thought The Greyhound was the best restaurant in England. Whilst that demonstrates how good the place is, I couldn`t go that far since I have not sampled every restaurant in England but what I can say, with total confidence, is that there might be other restaurants out there as good as this one but certainly none better.

Yet another wonderful dining experience. Firstly a very warm welcome from all the staff we encountered. So lovely to see new young waiters with the same exemplary qualities expected at this amazing restaurant. The food was divine, in particular the venison pie and the delicious sauce it came with. But honestly it was all lovely. The rabbit and duck equally fabulous. We are already planning a return

We cannot recommend The Greyhound highly enough. We always absolutely love our times when we visit The Greyhound. We are always made to feel very very welcome, our visits are just like visiting family. Daniel and Margriet with their amazing team have made The Greyhound a very very special place - the food, ambience and staff are fantastic. We always feel like we have had a wonderful evening with family when we visit The Greyhound for dinner. Thank you so so much to all The Greyhound team. Anita and Rob xx

A very special place. Outstanding as ever truly it gets better and better which we thought could not be possible but it is - their strive for perfection is incredible - superb the best restaurant in England no question we love it and the team are wonderful. The most inspiring and energetic team. Daniel is the most enthusiastic person I have ever met. We love them and he had us in stitches last night he is so funny I think I might be his biggest fan! I can’t praise this place enough. The food has flavours we never knew existed. The Greyhound has put Beaconsfield on the food map!

I had been to this restaurant before but my husband and daughter hadn’t and they both agree that the food and the service is exceptional. Will be back with more family members who now want to go there, because we have raved about how good the food was it is now a must stop place when they visit. Would give them more than the 5 stars rating you can give :) ⭐️⭐️

A wonderful setting, with lots of privacy, to indulge the most delightful food. The extra touches and details make your experience outstanding. Staff are very attentive and everything tasted delicious. i look forward to our next visit.

As always, the service was exceptional! The attention to detail and cleanliness were impeccable. The menu was fantastic, featuring fresh, high-quality products that not only delighted the palate but were a feast for the eyes as well. We’re so grateful to everyone for making my son’s birthday celebration truly special. A special shoutout to Daniel, who is always welcoming and goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. It's wonderful to see the team training and nurturing young talent—what a fantastic environment!
