Welcome to The Greyhound, a 17th century coaching inn, in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town.
Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Daniel Crump and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the pub and restaurant was named as the ‘One to Watch in the UK’s prestigious Top 50 Gastropubs Awards, named a TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award Winner, and voted the best restaurant in Bucks & Oxon by guests in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.
The Greyhound is made up of 3 key areas for guests to enjoy: an intimate drinking lounge and outside drinking terrace, the main restaurant for dining (upstairs and downstairs), and an outdoor covered and heated dining terrace.
The different menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available.
The Greyhound also stocks a diverse wine list, developed by Margriet, who is a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as a wide range of international beers.

I've been here three times and have never been disappointed. The service is amazing, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and explain what you're eating before you do so! The food is so well put together with dishes that you wouldn't think would actually go together (like peppercorn marshmallow which was delicious!). We had the taster menu this time and they also brought out several other courses which weren't on the menu, and they were tasty and interesting. Two I remember were the cauliflower doughnut and the palate cleanser of apple and marshmallow on a stick. There was a lovely touch when they gave us a card for our anniversary which I thought was really nice. I would recommend The Greyhound for any occasion but particularly a special one as the prices are quite high.

My wife and I had been looking forward to my birthday lunch out for a good while and The Greyhound did not let us down. We opted for the tasting menu with matching wines. Both the food and wines were delicious and the wine knowledge from the staff was also very good. We had commented on how much we had enjoyed the freshly baked bread and chive butter and they gave us some extra portions to take home with us which was a nice touch. We're already looking forward to out next visit.

I took my Mum here for her Birthday meal and was very impressed, the service was amazing and everyone greeted us with a lovely happy birthday. The food was incredible and a reasonable price for the amazing quality. I will definitely be back very soon!

Excellent food and service. Deserves to be a Michelin star restaurant. Can’t fault it in anyway. It was our friends 80th birthday celebration and he thoroughly enjoyed everything. We can not fault this restaurant for its food, wine and the staff are amazing . Thank you so much. Would definitely dine here again!!

Would highly recommend the Greyhound for an occasion meal. The food was excellent, with innovative flavours and beautifully presented, but what really set the Greyhound apart was the fantastic service which was extremely efficient but at the same time friendly and charming.

A beautiful unique restaurant and bar area but unfortunately we were led to the worst table disappointmently & the slowest service at the start which was very bizarre. As a result no one took our order for ages. Ordered drinks but received only bottled water which was comically continuously topped up. Then another person then took our drinks order again when we said we had already ordered. Finally after the wine appeared thank goodness & after ordering the tasting menu things improved.

Cannot say a bad word about it. Incredible! Had the taster menu and it was some of the best tasting food I have ever had. Ingredients I would never use or pair and was a true delight.
