We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!

Our journey started on a quiet West Village street called Carmine. Two brothers, Dave and Pete, made a bold decision. Without any business experience, any real plan, or anything resembling a thought beyond getting through the day, we opened a restaurant. What we had lacked in experience we made up for with spirit and creativity. We did not want to be businessmen. We were artists. Our little shop at 33 Carmine St. was our original canvas. We set out with a simple mission: to create a place where people would want to be. We named it after our dogs, Moose and Goose Lane. Our Nolita location opened four years later in 2011.

This was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Yes it was expensive, but EVERYTHING about the meal was delicious. You need to try the sweet potato fries. The ambiance was also fun. Great music. Service was good too.

I understand that such a popular place for brunch would be noisy, however, can’t understand the reason for turning up the volume on the music. Otherwise, good food and service.

This was my first time at this location but as always the food was great and service amazing. It’s a very high energy spot so not for quiet conversations. Staff is always attentive and pleasant, engaging with their customers even though it seems they all share taking care of all the tables. We tried some new dishes to us this time like the fried chicken with Johnny cakes, chocolate chip pancakes and chilaquiles. (Marathoncarb loading!) all were delicious!

My only feedback is that there is only one toilet for the entire restaurant. Always has a line. Would be nice to have a second stall.

Our party of six was seated immediately, service was prompt and very friendly. The food was amazing and everyone enjoyed their meals. We were not rushed which is so nice on a Sunday morning! And it was a great value!!! We will definitely be back!

The staff was very accommodating on a busy Sunday at brunch time. We were able to be seated outdoors where the noise level was lower. Food was very good and service was great.

We were so happy with everything about this restaurant! Food was delicious, everyone was friendly and helpful and we could afford the meal!

Were there on a silent sunday, just a few people, so pretty bad the service was bad as there was not much to do, they were busy chatting among themselves, didnt mention items on the menu werent available and kept me with an empty glass. there was no more friendlyness after a low tip, just some complaining to collegues, too bad.. (BTW it was thegreyhound Chelsea)

Regardless, were sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. This is not usually how we run things. Management at the Chelsea location has been made aware to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Exactly what we were looking for brunch! Yummy food. Great vibe. Happy and Casual, but still trendy. We were a party of 8 and table was ready when we arrived. Always love the grey dog. Ty!

We absolutely loved our lunch at The Grey Dog! Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. Will definitely be back!
