The Green Flash is an iconic waterfront dining establishment in Captiva, Florida. Come by boat or car, sit indoors or at one of our outdoor dockside tables for lunch or dinner service. The Green Flash serves traditional American fare with a distinct European influence. The kitchen uses only fresh ingredients, including market-fresh fish in all its from scratch dishes. The full bar provides plenty of drink options and the dining rooms and patios provide beautiful views of the water while you eat. Enjoy your meal as you watch the many pleasure and fishing boats depart and return from their excursions!

The Green Flash's menu begins with a range of starters like oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon, hot flash shrimp and mussels. There are plenty of salads and soups on The Green Flash menu as well, like the grilled chicken Caesar. Larger dishes include chicken porcini and pan seared diver scallops.

Sat there for over 20 minutes without any acknowledgement from staff or even glasses of water. Staff kept walking past and looking our way, but never said a word. Left after hearing another table was waiting over an hour for food and servers had no idea they never got anything.

Excellent dinner. We prefer to eat outside when possible. All of the food is amazing and they have specials nightly. I do wish they would print out the specials, as they are sometimes hard to follow and a lot of work for the servers to repeat. We love the ahi tuna, the the hot flash shrimp, the BBQ shrimp, and also the soups. The bread is always perfection as well. Almost everyone at the table had seafood for entrees. Tiffany was our server and was attentive, kind, and didn't act tired even though it was toward the end of the night and I know they work long days during the season. We tried many desserts during our stay and the chocolate mousse was my favorite. Lots of creative cocktails, too. We recently traveled to Captiva and had 3 dinners at The Green Flash during our stay. Due to limits on OT reservations, this is the only one we were able to make reservations for. 12/24 for 17 people, 12/28 5 people, 12/30 7 people. Also ate lunch 12/22. My only complaint was the outside host flat out told me no to a table request that was available. I asked nicely and she said she already had a table for us, and I indicated that we would wait for the specific table. She again said no. She sat us and then took the next table to the table I requested. It left a bad taste. The guests were our relatives and they witnessed the whole thing and thought it was funny. One of our favorite restaurants on the island.

Customer service of wait staff is top notch. Especially with Millie & Carly who are now like family when we visit. Busy holiday crown and whole team was working hard inside and outside! Thank you for a wonderful dinner and experience

It was high season between Christmas and New Years. We were squeezed into a space between a Christmas tree and a table of 10. I had the view of the women’s room and the kitchen doors. Workers ran up and down that narrow space and other customers took photos by the tree. Not the most relaxing atmosphere for dining. And there is no possible way to see the green flash or sunset for you are facing the bay. But for all that, the food was surprisingly good.

My favorite restaurant on Captiva! We celebrated our son’s birthday and it was an awesome experience. Inside and outside seating. Wonderful food. Great service. Great cocktails. The bacon wrapped shrimp is my favorite. Beautiful view of the bay. Love it!!

We had a fabulous meal, terrific server and were able to walk right to our table with our reservation through Open Table.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we really enjoyed our server. She was very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good, although we found it to be a bit on the pricey side.

We ate outside under the tiki hut and asked for candles . It was so wonderful! Our waiter , Andreas was so accommodating and sweet. Perfect night
