The Green Flash is an iconic waterfront dining establishment in Captiva, Florida. Come by boat or car, sit indoors or at one of our outdoor dockside tables for lunch or dinner service. The Green Flash serves traditional American fare with a distinct European influence. The kitchen uses only fresh ingredients, including market-fresh fish in all its from scratch dishes. The full bar provides plenty of drink options and the dining rooms and patios provide beautiful views of the water while you eat. Enjoy your meal as you watch the many pleasure and fishing boats depart and return from their excursions!

The Green Flash's menu begins with a range of starters like oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon, hot flash shrimp and mussels. There are plenty of salads and soups on The Green Flash menu as well, like the grilled chicken Caesar. Larger dishes include chicken porcini and pan seared diver scallops.

Everything was wonderful: food, ambience, killer ocean view but the service was awful. Our server actually was trying to put her hair in an elastic leaning OVER our table. She brought the wrong appetizer to our table which my husband ate anyway. There was no offer to have it complementary. Green Flash is a go-to restaurant for us. Next time, which there will be, if the service is this poor, we will tell the manager

My husband and I were celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary. He wanted to take me somewhere considered upscale, but I wasn't impressed with the menu selection. I looked over the menu for The Green Flash and was impressed with their variety of choices. Utilizing the Open Table App I made reservations, including a request for a Bay view table if available, as well as a happy server. I am tired of having servers who act like customers are a bother or who really just don't like their jobs. We arrived and were greeted by the Hostess and another gentleman. Our table was ready and we were sat on time. The table had the perfect view of the Bayside area. Our waiters name was Andre and he was excellent!!! Extremely friendly and attentive. We started with a cocktail and appetizer of Baked Artichoke Hearts. Our main dishes were Tripple Tail Fish and the Fish of the day special ....both were excellent!!! Normally I do not get dessert, but I knew my husband was craving Key Lime Pie and so I ordered Taramasu. I intended to take mine to go but ended up eating the entire dessert. The gentleman from earlier ended up being the manager on duty. Mike was very kind and personable. He was actually having dinner with his wife and friends but took the time to interact with the customers. Stacey and I had a wonderful dining experience and will be back to see Andre and Mike in December during our regular Timeshare stay with our family and friends. I highly recommend requesting Andre for your server when you visit The Green Flash!

We had a great dinner at the green flash- everything was on point as always. Our waitress was stretched thin and was still just so sweet and kind. Will keep coming back when we’re in captiva.

Wonderful service! Our server Danielle was kind and attentive. Beautiful scenery. We saw several dolphins and birds while enjoying our meals. Strong and tasty drinks. Perfectly cooked lobster and nothing needed to be further seasoned! Great experience and we can’t wait to go back!
