Gyro and chicken kabob platters were excellent. Tzatziki sauce might have been the best we ever had. Vegetables were very good. Only quibbles were that the gyro meat was sliced too narrowly and the pitas were cut a bit narrowly.

The food is good although missing some classic Greek dishes, for example tarama sakata The bread is excellent and fresh The dips are good and the French fries phenomenal But the meat dishes tend to be over cooked Chicken swarms is dry (you’ll need lots of tzatziki) The oddest thing is a Greek restaurant that serves only two salads but doesn’t have fresh pepper After years of suggesting they have at least one pepper mill, this time I brought my own grinder. Staff are great It’s still byob although there’s a limited wine list. Given the food dessert in state college still one of the best bets in town

Happy to try something new and The Greek did not disappoint. Was not expecting French fries in my gyro but it was only a few and I pulled them out. The staff was very welcoming and we will be back.

We had excellent service from Julie, she is a fantastic server. Radison greeted us and checked in on us after our meal, very professional. Ryan was great at clearing our table. The food was outstanding! All of it!

Arrived for our reservation for 4 guests, and we were seated at this lone table beneath the stairs. Initially I thought, this is the worst seat in the place, but it totally is awesome! You're all by yourself in this little cove--so cool! Also, Radisson was our waiter---super awesome and attentive guy. Unfortunately I live 3 hours away and was visiting friends in the area, but if and when I return, Beneath The Stairs I will go!

We love the Greek. Food is excellent, well priced and you can bring your own bottle of wine. It’s a great place to get together with your friends.
