We recommend booking during our live music periods in order to avoid disappointment due to unavailability. A £12.50 per head non returnable fee to reserve a table is outrageous considering there is no cover charge for turning up. So £75 just for the privilege of booking a table before buying a drink. No jazz on offer as such just a local musician playing a wide range of songs and a couple with an aggressive sounding dog barking out loud just behind us. Not a champagne jazz bar atmosphere at all.

Think we might have been unlucky but the music wasn’t Jazz - it was cheesy covers and the singer really brought the mood down! also paid so much for our booking and didn’t get a reserved seat

We had a fantastic evening with our friends. Paying to book is a nit of a rip off but we had a great place in the lounge. The musician/ singer was brilliant. The ambience and general atmosphere was perfect. The place is a bit pricey, but we didn't mind as we had such a good evening

Nice evening but music stopped early. We paid £12.50 each and only had 45 minutes of music.

Great fun place to go. We were early at 5pm so it was a bit chilly and we were the only people there for a while. Ordered olives but none were available, just had crisps.

I was unable to change the date of my booking, I sent emails, msgs and tried to call on various occasions however no response. I wanted to move my booking to the next Friday however I was unable to do so! I will not use this booking system again as I lost money unnecessarily. It would be wise to consider this in advance. I don’t even know if the Grapevine is still open, as this would be a strange way to run a thriving business.

This was our first experience in the Grapevine and have to say it was a fantastic evening. Moss the musician, who we know, gave an amazing performance, the entire bar enjoyed his music, the ambiance was excellent. Ella who served us all evening was friendly and professional and provided what felt like a one to one service. To summarise, we both had a fabulous evening, great atmosphere & brilliant music, perfect location, superb staff. We will be back. Thank you

Second visit to the Grapevine, a hidden Gem in the quiet street in Rye. I love the cosy and atmospheric ambience created by the low lighting. The drinks selection is great with beautiful wines on offer and bar was accommodating with off menu cocktails. The staff were really knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and provided an excellent level of service particular thank you to Ella and Sethu our waiters who were very attentive and extremely friendly. I will make absolutely be visiting the Grapevine every time I'm in Rye.
