Amazing customer service from the moment you open the door. Food is fantastic, seating is great, with a great atmosphere. We will be coming back again soon!

The Sunday roast was perfect with none of the mass-produced feel of some carvery establishments. The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked. Portions are generous. The staff were friendly, welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. It is a popular village and parking is limited. Allow time to drop off passengers and park and walk back. Good value for money.

Fantastic pub with friendly management and great food and drink. Maybe a bigger menu would be good but everything on the menu was good!

Visited on a quiet Wednesday evening. The staff were the friendliest I think I’ve ever encountered in a Cambridgeshire pub. Food excellent. Will definitely return.

Good food and good size portions. Your only challenge might be finding somewhere to park.

Short version: Very long wait for food, which was a tad expensive when we ordered but definitely cold and overpriced when it finally arrived. Booked for Sunday Lunch in the only area they had available, which was the “Standard” area. Turns out that’s a covered area outside which, although dry, is a bit cold and drafty. It definitely could have been made clearer on OpenTable. We were shown to the table, but given no menus until we flagged down a member of staff on one of their rare incursion into the “Standard” area. We were surrounded by people complaining about either how long they’d been waiting for food, having no cutlery, or missing drinks. So the signs were definitely there. When we eventually managed to order, the drinks took 20 minutes to appear and it was a full HOUR until the food arrived. I was starting to fear for my life as the kids were growing cannibalistic by this point. The brief joy of the food arriving was exactly that, brief. It was all cold. Waiting an hour for cold food is not my perfect Sunday. They did offer to replace them but we didn’t have another hour to spare. They also forgot the sides, which turned up as a pseudo-second course as we were finishing the mains, and this seemed a common complaint on most of the tables around us. That said, at least they were hot. Although if I described the vegetables as “al dente” it would have been very generous. Crunchy. In summary, it was a disaster. I will say the cold food was actually quite tasty although the roast beef took some chewing (and quite a few on our table gave up). I have had nicer meals in there on quieter days but won’t go back for Sunday Lunch again, as the kitchen clearly can’t cope with volume of tables they now have.

We sincerely apologise that your experience today was not up to standard. It was a super busy lunch and your order into the kitchen was one of our last tickets at the peak however this should have been communicated to you and advised at the time of ordering. We are currently reviewing our booking descriptions and our Terrace area is due to be fully enclosed within the next month now that its getting a little chillier as it really is a lovely place to dine. We do hope you will come and join us again as your custom is truly appreciated.
