Come and enjoy a meal at The Grange, Saunderton in the heart of the Chiltern Hills

We are excited to welcome you for a simple à la carte menu bursting with fresh, seasonal ingredients. So, take a deep breath and unwind at The Grange Restaurant.

Book your table inside or outside on our terrace or courtyard with freshly-prepared breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea available every day from 9am to 4pm.

We want all our customers to arrive feeling welcome and safe, and leave feeling happy, knowing that every visit supports our life-changing charity work at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - helping deaf people leave loneliness behind.

The Grange is AA Covid-Confident Accredited, still taking a sensible approach to keep all our customers, volunteers and staff safe. Please note, we take payment only for food and drink during your order, before you are served. We look forward to welcoming you - and, of course, dogs are welcome too!

Free parking in our graveled car park. Priority & Accessible parking is available at the top of the drive near the Little Grange Field for those with mobility issues, with access to the tarmac path. Further Blue Badge parking is available in the main car park. Dogs must not be left in cars, and are welcome on a short lead in The Grange.

My elderly father and I had lunch here today, one lady showed us to our table, she even asked if dad needed a cushion as the seats were wooden, which I thought was thoughtful. she then said what the specials were then took our drinks order. The next lady (whose first day it was!!) then took our order with no problem. Our food arrived quite prompt and mine tasted amazing ( a falafel wrap) and my dad had the chicken and bacon caeser salad which, as he ate it all, was a testament to how tasty it must have been. Superb service thank you.

Overall an excellent experience. Staff were very attentive and extremely helpful in arranging quick service because we were short of time. All staff had smiling faces. The ambience was great The restaurant is bright and most attractive.

Sadly not a good experience with the food. But the Service was excellent. Dealt with very well. Will be back to try again.

Lovely Sunday lunch - my roast beef was a delight (tender and tasty), Yorkshire puddings were perfect and the cauliflower cheese was delicious (perfect thick cheesy sauce) … the other vegetables were cooked well (not too soft or hard) Chicken a bit dry but helped by the gravy. No room for dessert as we had starters- he had the prawn cocktail and I had the whitebait. Recommend the beef next time for a Sunday roast.
