Come and enjoy a meal at The Grange, Saunderton in the heart of the Chiltern Hills

We are excited to welcome you for a simple à la carte menu bursting with fresh, seasonal ingredients. So, take a deep breath and unwind at The Grange Restaurant.

Book your table inside or outside on our terrace or courtyard with freshly-prepared breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea available every day from 9am to 4pm.

We want all our customers to arrive feeling welcome and safe, and leave feeling happy, knowing that every visit supports our life-changing charity work at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - helping deaf people leave loneliness behind.

The Grange is AA Covid-Confident Accredited, still taking a sensible approach to keep all our customers, volunteers and staff safe. Please note, we take payment only for food and drink during your order, before you are served. We look forward to welcoming you - and, of course, dogs are welcome too!

Free parking in our graveled car park. Priority & Accessible parking is available at the top of the drive near the Little Grange Field for those with mobility issues, with access to the tarmac path. Further Blue Badge parking is available in the main car park. Dogs must not be left in cars, and are welcome on a short lead in The Grange.

Lovely Sunday lunch - my roast beef was a delight (tender and tasty), Yorkshire puddings were perfect and the cauliflower cheese was delicious (perfect thick cheesy sauce) … the other vegetables were cooked well (not too soft or hard) Chicken a bit dry but helped by the gravy. No room for dessert as we had starters- he had the prawn cocktail and I had the whitebait. Recommend the beef next time for a Sunday roast.

Always so friendly & welcoming. Food & coffee is great. Wine / Prosecco even better. Service is brilliant & special shout out for Julia & Carol who always go above & beyond. We wouldn’t go anywhere else for our fortnightly meet. The Prosecco ladies (Kim, Emma & Anne) xxx

I had the special which was cottage pie & peas. Over- salted and really inedible cottage pie and the peas were very poor, not sweet or juicy. My friend had avocado and Brie panini which she said was delicious. There was no one to complain to and no one came to ask if we were enjoying our meal.

Visited the restaurant whilst attending the Grange for an assessment for a hearing dog. The food was excellent service amazing if we lived nearby I would come more often. It’s too far to travel from Lancashire!!

We always enjoy The Grange. The food and service are always outstanding and the setting is beautiful. A real winner for dog lovers too as they are most welcome and even get they or own treats!

Lovely location with a beautiful garden to sit out in when weather permits. We had our Sunday lunch there and the food was good. A little slow on service but we weren’t bothered with the weather being so good.

As a vegetarian my choice was limited on the menu, but I went for the felafal wrap. It was dry, luke warm and overcooked. It needed more salad, tahini etc to make it interesting and moist. I complained having struggled through half of the wrap. The waitress took it back to the chef. The chef apparently didn't see anything wrong with it, which in itself says a lot about the skill of the chef. The waitress refunded me which was satisfactory. Some lunch sandwiches/paninis with a variety of fillings would be a welcome addition to the menu. My friend had fish and chips, which she said was very good. It's a lovely cafe space and great to have it dog friendly. They should put the wifi code on each table. You had to go to near the till to find it. The wifi Grange Guest didn't work, only the main Grange wifi.

We had been here for lunch a few times before but this time we went for breakfast. We both had the Full English Breakfast which we enjoyed very much. The weather was fantastic so we were able to sit on the terrace with a view of the colourful gardens.
