Come and enjoy a meal at The Grange, Saunderton in the heart of the Chiltern Hills

We are excited to welcome you for a simple à la carte menu bursting with fresh, seasonal ingredients. So, take a deep breath and unwind at The Grange Restaurant.

Book your table inside or outside on our terrace or courtyard with freshly-prepared breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea available every day from 9am to 4pm.

We want all our customers to arrive feeling welcome and safe, and leave feeling happy, knowing that every visit supports our life-changing charity work at Hearing Dogs for Deaf People - helping deaf people leave loneliness behind.

The Grange is AA Covid-Confident Accredited, still taking a sensible approach to keep all our customers, volunteers and staff safe. Please note, we take payment only for food and drink during your order, before you are served. We look forward to welcoming you - and, of course, dogs are welcome too!

Free parking in our graveled car park. Priority & Accessible parking is available at the top of the drive near the Little Grange Field for those with mobility issues, with access to the tarmac path. Further Blue Badge parking is available in the main car park. Dogs must not be left in cars, and are welcome on a short lead in The Grange.

Had a lovely birthday breakfast. Food was excellent and the staff were amazing too. Will be back for sure.

This was the first time we'd eaten breakfast at The Grange and it was a great experience throughout the meal, from being welcomed on entry, to the service received at the table. The food was very enjoyable - the Little Pups breakfast is value for money and perfectly adequate for the average appetite. The coffee was good and we felt comfortable to stay for some time after finishing our meal.

Food was good and friendly staff. My only issue was the clearing of plates while some of us were still eating.

The food was great but just too much for me. We came with the intention of having 2 courses but couldn't manage 2. I do use hearing aids myself and it is hard for me to manage a conversation in any area where there are more than myself and one other person and evan my husband doesn't realise how much I struggle. But having said that we will go back again as we loved the food and our dogs loved the company .

I’m no foodie but the food at the grange is tasty and interesting, I think it is a very nice place to eat and with the charity side it’s all good! the staff, deserve a great deal of credit for their hard work for this worthy charity. Thank you !

Disappointing compared to previous visits during the week. Booked Sunday lunch for 6 at 13.30 Choose 5 roast options with extra yorkshires and 1 vegetarian meal. Informed that vegetarian option finished but a substitute available. 20 min later told no yorkshires available but extra veg would be provided. Meals arrived but with limited veg - broccoli so hard it was inedible 1 parsnip and a soggy mess that was supposed to be cauliflower cheese? Meat and roasties were good. Returning plates of food were noticeably uneaten. Thinking desserts may compensate, after waiting a further 15 min and still no sign of menus we decided enough was enough and left. We are aware that many staff are volunteers but well prepared food and good basic training of servers is essential to continue to gain the support of the public. On this occasion we left very unhappy with both service and quality of food.

Breakfast in the sunshine. Lovely dog friendly establishment with treats. Very friendly staff and fresh food all served with a smile.

Warm welcome, good food and ambience. Noise level not too bad even though it got quite busy. A good lunch and worth the 200 mile round trip.
